I am the shadow on the moonlit night Filling your dreams to the brim of fright! Adam was currently in the bathtub. Belle, as usual, was up before him. He smiled as he thought about what Belle had said the other day; they were expecting. It was simply wonderful! Adam and Belle had wanted a child for years; they had tried for years but to no avail. Now, it seemed like they had been given a chance to bring new life into this world, even if it was a world filled with evil magic and evil witches. Their kids would have a new sibling to play with, and they needn’t worry that their adopted kids would love them any less. Adam would love all his kids.
Adam got out the bath, got dried and dressed. Now wasn’t the time for Adam to take his time; he had very important guests coming, his spies. He had sent a letter to all his spies throughout the Kingdoms, stating that Adam was wanting a meeting to hear what intel the spies had so far. The former Beast decided he should do these meetings more regularly; that would give him more peace of mind and he would feel better knowing that his spies were safe. He always worried for his spies; fearing for their safety.
Once Adam was dressed, he went to his personal drawing room and waited for his personal guests to arrive, ordering water, a pick and mix platter and wine, if anyone felt like having wine. He told the butler to send his guests here when they arrived. Adam wondered who out of his spies would come first.

WAIT [/style] | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #6d6d6d;] [style=padding: 10px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 10px; height: 475px; overflow: auto; color: #1e1e1e;]Rose pulled the hood of her red cloak over her head. She knew that there was a distinction between Queen Red's cloak and hers. Her own cloak had the embroidery of a rose on it. It was a her signature flower and color in one was what she thought with a soft smile. She was outside of the inn where she stayed when a storm came and made it impossible for her to ride. She walked quickly to the stables and found her horse among the many others. She paid the young stable-boy since he had cared for her horse.
She swung onto the back of Pearl and gave a small touch to urge her into a run. Rose hoped that she wasn't late. Her hands tightened on the reins as Pearl galloped. She had gotten the letter from the King and had immediately asked her sister to care for their mother. King Adam had called for a meeting among his spies. This was important. Perhaps the other spies would have more information on the witches. Not much had happened in the ninth kingdom yet. With the witches on the rise, nothing was safe. She joined King Adam's ranks of spies to aid the other kingdoms against those witches.
Her hood blew off as she rode on. Her hair whipped around in the wind. Rose let herself calm down. It wasn't any good to think of bad things that the witches would do. All the best that they can do is it watch and wait. Watching as the witches plan begins taking form. Waiting! Rose was never a patient girl. She knew that the kingdoms didn't want another war after their loss. Rose still knew another was inevitable. Finally, she came in sight of a castle. She guided Pearl to an obscure place near the castle so she could remain hidden.
People weren't supposed to know that she was a spy. Not even her mother or sister knew. She hated keeping secrets again but she didn't want to rouse curiosity. She pulled the hood of her cloak up. Her dress was plain and simple. It would've raised suspicions if she wore any finery. Well, if she had any. She walked cautiously to the spot where the King showed her his secret passage entrance was. She opened the door and walked quirky through the dark passage. Since the hall was rarely used, several cobwebs hung from the ceiling. She picked the hem of her dress up so as to not tempt spiders to crawl upon them.
She finally reached the end of the passageway. She pushed at the door and it gave way. She pulled her hood down and entered the room. She saw that the only person in the room was King Adam. "I hope I find you well, King Adam,"she said as and dipped into a curtsey. "I hope that I haven't missed the meeting,"she said, fearing that she had. [/style] |

I am the shadow on the moonlit night Filling your dreams to the brim of fright! Adam picked a plate of nibbles and goblet of water while he was waiting. Again, the King found himself wondering who’d come first; it would most likely be Rose Red. She was able to get here quicker and wouldn’t have to worry about having to skirt around the Third Kingdom. Makyah and Cindy would have to skirt around the Third Kingdom, which was always tricky to do. He himself had trouble doing that when travelling to the Second Kingdom to visit Queen Red and King Bigby.
Adam was grateful that he had retained his enhanced senses; that was one of the things he was grateful for. He had retained his enhanced senses, agility and speed when he had become a human again. His enhanced hearing allowed him to hear the secret passageway open. There were only a few people who knew of the secret passageway; one of whom was in his employment: Rose Red. She was a citizen of the Ninth Kingdom and a spy for him. He liked the girl, she was a fighter, which he liked. He allowed himself to hear what the fiery-haired girl said while taking a sip from his goblet. He saw her curtsey and gave a small smile.
“Rose Red, it’s good to see you. I trust you and your family are well?” Adam had taken in the girl’s affairs, after a certain Prince was mentioned. He knew of the Prince, of course. The former Beast had then given her family a supply of money, to keep them going, though he had advised Rose Red to keep quiet about who the benefactor was; he hoped she was keeping to that. He didn’t want her mother to get in a tizzy about the King of the Fifth Kingdom sending them money for reasons unknown. Tag: Adam’s spies Words: 299

[style=font-family: times; font-size: 12px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-transform: lowercase; color: #989898; font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;] 332 WORDS FOR KING ADAM AND SPIESFinally posted WAIT [/style] | [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=style, background-color: #6d6d6d;] [style=padding: 10px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 10px; height: 475px; overflow: auto; color: #1e1e1e;]Rose gave an appreciative smile. "They are well. Thank you for helping my family," she said pleasantly. She glanced around the room and found that she was most likely the first spy to arrive. She knew the other spies had to try to avoid the Third Kingdom's suspicions. Rose was glad that she didn't need to do such a thing. She was able to head directly to the Fifth Kingdom, well, until the storm had delayed her. Nowadays the only time she left her home was when she had to attend the meetings for the spies. She didn't way to give her family any doubts of her faithfulness to them. Sometimes, she felt that White would think that she would run away again.
She also saw a hint of fear when she would tell her mother that she had to do her job. That meant that she needed to travel. Her mother thought that, perhaps, she would use it as a disguise and leave home. At times, she regretted what she did but when she thought about her duty, she accepted her actions as fate. If she had sat at home as a docile girl, she wouldn't have been able to do anything to help prevent another war. Rose was a girl who fought. She was never contented to sit like a perfect child like White.
This brought her thoughts to the bear that came at their home soon after her father passed away. He had made a promise to come back. He still never did. It was painful to watch White in the winter. She waited for him by the fireside. She believed that he would keep his promise. Rose still had some hope that he'd come. On her travels, she wished that by chance, she might walk into him and bring him to White. Rose cleared those thoughts. She was here to report the events in her kingdom. "Have you had much news on the other kingdoms?" she asked solemnly. [/style] |
