Mother: Queen Athena (Mother-in-Law, deceased)
Siblings: Various sisters-in-Law

Strengths: Strong, incredibly fast swimmer as a merman, excellent helmsman and fighter
Weaknesses: Easily deceived by magic, unable to stay away from the sea for too long, unable to control the transformation if he is touched by sea water.
Personality: Prince Eric is strong, noble, and a loving husband. He cherishes Ariel above all else and dotes on her as though they were newlywed. While he is thankful that Magic gave them the ability to be together, he despises magic for the harm it caused Ariel, and for the fact that he is very easily deceived by magic. He can never deny Ariel something that would make her happy, even asking King Triton to permit them both to become merpeople at will, so that Ariel would never have to give up the sea, and her family there.
Eric is impulsive. He rarely, if ever, takes the time to plan something out. This often gets him into trouble.
He is an excellent leader and throughout his life, has led many ship crews through various missions. Though not a King, he does help in the administrative duties of the village surrounding his castle and is much beloved by his people, both in the ocean and on land.
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Dark brown
Physique:Prince Eric is rather attractive and has a lean and powerful build. As a human, he is easily capable of lifting heavy objects. He likes to run along the shoreline with his dog Max for exercise. As a merman, he is also an incredibly fast swimmer. If sea water touches his skin, he transforms instantly into a merman.
His tail is an earthy shade of blue when he transforms and the only way to change back is by beaching himself and burying his tail beneath dry sand.

History: Eric was born into a sea-faring kingdom to very happy parents. When he was but a few months old, his parents were killed in a shipwreck. He was raised by several of the servants. He grew to love the ocean, despite what it did to his parents, much to the confusion of the people who raised him.
When he was twelve, he went on his first voyage. It was then that he first heard tales about the beautiful mermaids. While others tried to convince him that they were just legends, something told Eric that there was more to the legend than he believed.
Years passed and he became a captain, leading several voyages to other countries. On his sixth voyage, Eric’s ship ran aground many of his men were lost. He, too, almost died but was rescued. Although the details were fuzzy, he remembered a beautiful woman and her beautiful voice. In his heart, he knew she was the one and became obsessed with finding her.
A few days later, he was running along the shoreline with his dog, Max, and he came across a woman. She was beautiful, barely clothed, unsteady on her feet, and mute. Eric took her in and decided to help her, not realizing that she was the same person who saved her.
While she was falling in love with him, he was more protective of her, like he would a ward.
One day, a beautiful woman with a voice… the voice he heard the night he almost drown was walking along the beach. He wanted to marry her immediately. However, when right before the vows, a necklace she was wearing broke and he learned that it was Ariel who saved him. It was Ariel he loved.
The other woman was really a sea witch in disguise. He had to slay her and help restore Ariel’s father’s magic Trident to him. Ariel chose to stay with Eric, but he didn’t want for her to need to choose. Instead, he requested that King Triton allow them to change into merpeople so that Ariel would never need to miss her home.
The two of them live happily, splitting their time between the kingdom on the land and Atlantica.

Role-play Example:
The imp cackled, jumping up on a nearby barrel to become closer in height to the Queen. He looked her over carefully before speaking. "Well, people only come to me for a very limited number of reasons, your royal cardinallyness..." He smiled broadly because an opportunity was presenting itself that he had waited far too long for.
"Since you're a queen," he said, now appearing behind her. "I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that you aren't looking for money. And if that's true it means..." he moved back to the barrel again and leaned close to the Queen. "You want magic." He giggled madly. "Now, you have quite a few sources of magic at your disposal. That lends me to believe that secrecy might be a part of our bargain? Hmmm?"
Rumplestiltskin did an odd dance and hopped down onto the ground again. "It's quite alright, though, Your Majesty. Secrecy is my middle name." He paused for a moment. "It isn't really... I thought it might make you feel better, though. Tehehehe." He giggled in an unsettling way and did a slight dance again, barely able to contain the excitement he had brewing within him right now.
