Strengths:
- Cunning;; The Fox Sister is exceptionally cunning. She is deviously quick-witted, an excellent liar and deceiver. She weaves a web of stories and rumours so thick that it is nigh impossible to unravel them – very few people know exactly who she is, and fewer still know what she is.
- Stealthy;; She can slip in and out of shadows like nobody’s business. It’s very useful when it comes to her getting around without being seen. She can move completely silently too, and her skills of perception leave very little to be desired.
- Combat;; Though she is small and slight, the Fox Sister’s combat abilities are a force to be reckoned with. She is quick and fights with the wild ferocity of an animal, which makes her a considerable opponent. Though she mostly favours fighting as a fox, she is also adept with a dagger or shortsword.
- Hunting;; Thanks to her animal nature, the Fox Sister is a brilliant hunter/tracker, with a good nose for following people and their scents, as well as other animals.
- Charismatic;; In spite of herself, she is a charismatic and charming character, who blends well with the commoners and the high-born folk alike. Equipped with a silver tongue and a plethora of social mannerisms, the Fox Sister is someone who other people find it easy to talk to.
- Shape-Shifting;; And of course, the Fox Sister’s greatest strength is her ability to shift into a fox whenever she wants to. She has two choices; most often in the company of others, she will become a simple red fox. However, for particularly special occasions, she will shift into her true form of a nine-tailed kumiho fox – this form is far stronger demonically and physically than both her human and red fox forms, but it has a weakness to fire.
Weaknesses:
- Fire;; The Fox Sister hates fire with a passion. She will do all she can to stay away from it, though as it is one of her biggest weaknesses, she would never admit it to anybody.
- Hunger;; A physical weakness, the Fox Sister must consume one human liver a month if she wishes to be able to retain her human form. If she does not eat one within thirty days of her last, she will automatically shift into her kumiho form, and will be unable to shift back until she devours a liver.
- Shadow;; For the night of the full moon each month, the Fox Sister’s shadow becomes that of her starving kumiho form, even if she retains human shape. Catch her unawares in the light at this time, and her secret may be revealed. She goes to great lengths to keep her appearance up as a human, as it is really one of the only things she truly desires.
- Magic;; The Fox Sister is drawn to magic like a moth to the flame. Though she is incredibly cautious for fear of being captured, using magic near her is one way to lure her out.
Personality:
Though born as Mi Cha and now going under many names, the Fox Sister’s true personality is a real mystery to everyone apart from her. She is notoriously cunning and a brilliant storyteller – and her favourite stories are those about herself. Indeed, asking her anything of her being is just a cue for her to weave another tale into existence.
The Fox Sister’s most open traits are her cunning and her charisma – she enjoys being around people, talking to them and learning about them – manipulating them through her clever speeches. Nobody really knows whose side she is on, and in truth, the Fox Sister is an ultimately selfish creature. More a demon than a legend or beast of myth, she looks out for number one only, and she will do anything to get what she wants. She is an elaborate schemer, but rarely tells anyone of her plots or her ideas. She is a creature that revels in having chaos and turmoil around her, often entering situations to speak a single word – what was once a calm conversation between friends might suddenly become tense.
She is completely untrustworthy, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that people don’t trust her. The Fox Sister has her own fair share of followers, who, having seen what she can do only hope to emulate her and have some of that for themselves. And she loves it – she loves attention as much as she likes being a wallflower, observing people from the shadows to learn about them. Other people are a curiosity to her, and she likes to study them to learn more about their whims and fancies.
The Fox Sister’s allegiances are subject to change – she tends to follow those who give her the best advantage over others, or those who give her the best shot at getting what she wants. Or just those who seem particularly interesting; she follows her own twisted set of morals, where ‘good’ and ‘evil’ are simply words without meaning. She finds herself easily entertained and amused by those who challenge her views or her beliefs, or just challenge her at all.
Though she is easily infuriated, her curiosity is easily piqued as well, and she will often hunt things relentlessly until she is satisfied with what she has found. This extends to people, objects and especially magic – magic attracts her somehow, and though she doesn’t really know why, it tends to lead her to good things. She is cautious though – she wouldn’t run into trouble. She’s been trapped before, and is in no rush to repeat the experience.
Because of her observant nature, the Fox Sister is adept at navigating court politics, as she understands people very quickly. She rather enjoys the tension of nobles vying for attention whilst trying to bury others – it’s a very animalistic game, and one that she can empathise with completely. Survival of the fittest; she’s confident that she will get out alive, no matter what she’s pulled into.
Eyes: Golden brown, slightly slanted.
Hair: Bright red
Physique:
The Fox Sister stands at a very unimposing five feet and four inches tall, with a lean, willowy build that betrays her status as a hunter. She has the curves of a woman, and walks with the grace of a dancer. Her skin is like porcelain – fair and unblemished, aside from the demon brand tattooed on the centre of her back. She has a feminine face, with delicate angles and proportionate features. Her most outstanding visuals are her eyes – in every one of her forms, they are bright gold in colour. Her hair is red, and usually mid-length.
She usually dresses in clothes that flatter, but do not flaunt her figure. She is partial to darker colours, but will almost never be seen in any shade of blue or red. She wears the clothes of her station when around the nobility, but outside them, she is usually seen in shades of brown and green, garb that allows her easy movement without sacrificing her appeal. She also wears a cloak at times – black, made of a material that shrouds the face when the hood is up. She almost always wears gloves.
Her red fox self stands at two feet at the shoulder, and is coloured a soft reddish-orange typical of the species. Her paws are dark, but her muzzle, belly and the tip of her tail are white.
As a kumiho, she is slightly darker red, and stands at four feet at the shoulder, which makes her closer to a wolf’s size, though she still has the slight build of a fox. Most noticeable are the nine tails attached to the base of her body.

History:
Once upon a time, there was a man named Hyu Sun Kim, who had a wife named Jin Ae. They had been married for many long years and owned a prosperous farm, and they were both fairly young, so they decided to have children whilst they were still able.
Their firstborn was a son. He was strong and brave, and so they called him Kang Dae, which encompasses these things in a name.
Their second born was another son. He proved to be wise and calm, and so they called him Sang Min, which encompasses these things in a name.
Their third child was also a son. He was imaginative and charismatic, and they called him Shin Il, which means ‘fortunate’ and ‘believer’.
For several years, the husband and wife were happy with their three good sons, but Jin Ae longed for a daughter with all her heart. She asked all the gods to bless her with one, but she did not conceive a fourth time. She asked the sun and the moon and the stars, but she still was not gifted with a new life.
Hyu Sun did not like to see his wife wanting, and so one day, he left their farmstead in the charge of Kang Dae, who by this time was in his teenage years and would soon seek a wife of his own. He went to the mountains, to a shrine. He sat there and made offerings of crops and meat that he had taken from his farm. He stayed there for three days, praying for a daughter. He told the gods ‘I desire a daughter, even if she is a fox.’
This seems like a strange thing, but it was not unheard of for daughters to become foxes, and foxes to become daughters in that land, though they were seen as cursed.
When he returned, he and Jin Ae watched three passes of the moon, and then she fell pregnant.
She gave birth to a daughter. Hyu Sun’s prayers had been answered. They named her Mi Cha, which means ‘beautiful daughter’. And the farm continued to prosper.
Mi Cha was doted on by her brothers and her parents – spoiled, perhaps, as much as a farm girl can be – and was favoured by all who met her.
When she was six years old, strange things began to happen around the farm. As each day passed, a single cow would die. Fearing for his shrinking herd, Hyu Sun set Kang Dae to look after the livestock. He watched as Mi Cha came to the barn, and turned into a demon – and then she ate the liver out of a cow. The next day, he told his father, but his father did not believe him and Kang Dae was thrown out of the house.
The next night, Sang Min was left to guard the animals, and the same thing happened. Mi Cha came in the dead of night, and devoured a liver from one of the cows. He informed his father the next morning. Hyu Sun believed he had fallen asleep in the night and had had a nightmare, and so he threw Sang Min out as well.
The third night, Shin Il was posted outside the barn. Shin Il did fall asleep, but didn’t tell his father this, and instead said that though he had seen Mi Cha exit the house, she had gone to the outhouse only briefly before returning to bed. He claimed that the cows had died from seeing the moon, which satisfied his father.
Meanwhile, Sang Min and Kang Dae wandered together for a time. They came across a monk, who gave them three magic vials after they explained what they had seen. He called their sister a ‘Kumiho’ – a demon fox spirit. They returned to their homestead to make their next move.
Inside, they found only little Mi Cha, who claimed that their parents and Shin Il had died in their absence. She pleaded with them not to leave, and though they were uneasy, she managed to persuade them.
She cooked a magnificent meal for them to celebrate their return – though they did not know how, as the cow herd was extremely low, and Hyu Sun had only ever taken sickly and scrawny cows for them to eat, sending the others to market.
They retired to bed just after, full and sated.
Kang Dae was awakened during the night by the sound of chewing. He got up, saw the remains of the meal, and then he saw something else.
Sang Min, dead on the floor, with Mi Cha standing over him, eating his liver. Kang Dae realised that they had been eating human flesh the night before – the meat from the bodies of their parents and Shin Il. Mi Cha watched him steadily, and informed him cruelly that she needed to eat only one more to become a true human.
He raced out of the house with his younger sister in pursuit. As he ran, he found the vials that the monk had given him, and threw the white one. A thicket sprang up in the place of the liquid, but Mi Cha had turned into a fox, and was able to fight through the thorns. He threw the blue bottle, and a river opened across the land, but she was able to swim across it and continue. Finally, he threw the red, and a fire burst up. Mi Cha was caught in the blaze, and her physical body burned until there was nothing but a mosquito.
Kang Dae managed to escape.
Mi Cha was now a Kumiho demon within the body of an insect.
For decades, the Fox Sister (as her legend came to be known) remained mostly insignificant until a wandering hag witch discovered her trail, and followed it. Though she came across the tiny bug that the Fox Sister had become, she sensed the true, evil nature that lay within. She caught the mosquito (not a difficult feat when one is equipped with a jam jar). She took the insect back to her home, and through an arduous magical process involving transmutation, restoration and a human mannequin, she managed to remove the Fox Sister’s spirit from the mosquito’s body, and replace it in a human vessel that she had created especially for its new occupant.
It took the Fox Sister a little while to adjust to her new human form. As a Kumiho, she retained the ability to shift into her ‘true’ shape – that of the nine-tailed fox demon – but the mannequin body suited her perfectly. To restore her spirit into a physical form, the hag had had to create a seal – a demonic symbol branded into the Fox Sister’s back.
Together with the hag, the Fox Sister quickly realised her new body’s limitations. The first was that on every night of a full moon, her shadow became a nine-tailed fox – her true form, betrayed by the full moon. Her second restriction was her hunger. It was a very specific hunger; she craved human livers. It took time for the hag to help her work around this issue, and they soon discovered that whilst she could eat other things as well, she needed to consume one human liver a month or risk returning to her kumiho shape.
The hag also taught the Fox Sister other things; the ways of the court, of which she had once been a part. The ins and outs of a human mind; how to lie, and lie well; how to sneak into places one wasn’t invited to go. She encouraged the Fox Sister to use her natural senses more, and they soon found that she was drawn to magical things – items, people, spells. The hag theorised that this was probably because she had been bound by magic to the human body.
Though the Fox Sister was not one who trusted easily, she was upset when the hag was killed by a roaming tarrasque monster. She slew it herself in some sort of revenge for her mentor and rescuer, and then afterwards, she didn’t know what to do with herself. Alone, she travelled to the Third Kingdom, where she wound herself into the lives of the people there. She proceeded up the ranks of the nobility to the castle, where she was at first a bard of sorts, and then became an assassin. Stories were writ about her, songs were composed on the tales she told of her existence in the world. She sought power, and the people who could give it to her, and she found them.
Now, she remains in the court of the Third Kingdom, going under the name Scarlett Foxx when in human form. She is an advisor and a trickster, with a tongue of silver and the shadow of a demon.

Role-play Example:
The sound of her own pacing was beginning to drive Rosso insane, but she couldn't stop herself. She had to move because she had to keep thinking. If she stopped, it would mean that she had given in to whoever that man had been. The one who had sent her here.
He could not win. Rosso didn't lose battles. Not ever.
Apart with Vincent Valentine, but then Vincent Valentine was an entirely different case. A world apart from anything she had ever seen. He had held the soul of a god within him, and yet... he was so selfish. He refused to use the power he had, refused to show the world what he could do!
If I had been blessed with Chaos, I would have reduced the world to ashes and basked in the embers.
But he hadn't even used Chaos to defeat her, and it had been so humiliating...
She decided not to care. He was not here, in this mad world that she did not belong in. Neither were Weiss or Nero. Her brothers. Her beloved siblings, unbeaten and strong. Rosso felt a pang of loss, and realised she missed them. There had been no camaraderie, but there had been unity. They were connected, without the hulking fool, Azul, and the girl-child, Shelke. They were not true Tsviets.
Movement from across the hall startled Rosso from her revelrie. Her head snapped round to focus on the newcomer. He had appeared in a cell, like she had. She wondered what his supposed 'crime' had been. Perhaps he had attacked someone, as she had.
She turned her head again to stare at the wall. They were separate, so she did not care. She did not long for companionship.
There was something rather familiar about him, but she could not place it. Not in his appearance - more his presence. She ignored it – such a thing would not be an aid to her escape from this place. It was useless, so she cast it aside.
Her deep carmine eyes panned across the tiny cell again, trying to find a weakness that had not been there on her first observation, but she still could not find anything.
How she loathed it, being cooped up, like a fierce cuahl caged for doing what instinct dictated.
The scent of mako hit her almost as strongly as blood, and she whipped around, walking quickly to curl her fingers around the bars. Her pupils dilated, and for a moment she almost looked drunk on the taste of her essence. The man opposite had vanished, but the floor seemed to ripple with a black haze. She watched it creep, logic telling her that this was the very same person who had been trapped, as she had. Her thoughts were confirmed as the smoke reshaped itself into a human - the silver haired one from before.
How had he done that? Her previous dismissal of him was thrust aside as her curiosity piqued. She unhooked her hands from the bars of her prison, drawing back a little. His eyes were a strange colour, intense and blue-green, flecked with yellow. She met his stare with one of her own.
“You do not know a Tsviet when you see one?” she responded to his question, though she was unsure if it had been rhetorical. Maybe it would be wiser to hide her identity, but Rosso was a proud creature. She was not afraid. She would not hide her name in hopes of being left alone.
