Belle looked at herself in the mirror. Happy with what she was wearing today. it was a light sky blue dress and though the snow had thawed it would still be cold. So her dark blue cloak lay on her bed. She was doing her hair and in a rather cheerful mood today. She was not sure why really as she had almost cried herself to sleep the night before. Maybe it had something to do with the tea she had been brought that morning. Or it was the prospect of going out to see Red. She had told no one of her idea. Unlike when she had gone to see Rapunzel. No today she would be doing this by herself. She was in one of those moods.
She had risen before the sun and before Adam today. She was in her own private chambers getting ready. She was sure Adam would be worried when he found her missing but she had left him a note on his side of the bed they shared explaining where she was going. She would listen to the lectures of staff later. She took her cloak and headed out her chamber doors. She took off down to the stables and onto her horse. She was out of the stables and on the road before the stable hands had a chance to say anything really.
She knew that it was silly to be going to the Second Kingdom alone but she did not want anyone with her today. She wanted to do this on her own as if nothing was wrong at all. As if all was safe and sound in their world. She needed to do this or she might end up worrying herself completely sick and unable to get out of bed or worse. Damage that which was inside of her. She made it through the forth kingdom and was very careful in finding her way past the third and into the second. She dismounted at Royal stables and handed her horse over to the stable boy. She walked off towards the castle.
She knocked and waited for someone to open the doors. She had not been wanting the twenty one questions that the guard at the door was giving her though. She took a deep breath and answered each one. Finally she made mention of something only she would know and she was sure that the guard would let her in or that Red would come out and let her in.

It was too good a day out for her to stay inside, the sun was shinning, clouds were just that thin wisp dotted on the blue-washed sky, Queen Red Riding Hood took her bow and arrows, with her Chelsea and two servants she headed into the wild early that morning for a hunting trip, doing it out of fun rather than as a duty.
The feeling of being out in the wild is like being back home, with Chelsea galloping underneath her she felt wind in her hair, smell of earth filled her nose, natural color of brown and green filled her sight, for a moment there in the wilderness she could leave everything else behind: those duties, those responsibilities, those worries... Red Riding Hood felt a sense of tranquility overcome the rest of her emotion, calming those nerves and lifting those dead weight from her shoulders.
Supposedly, she doesn't have to do as much as she does, Bigby has always told her to take a step back and leave everything else to him, go on enjoying tea and hang out with the queens and princesses from other kingdoms. In her defense, how could she does that when the rest of the world is far from peaceful, how could she leave everything down for her husband to do - even though she was confident that he can manage - and enjoy herself? Red Riding Hood is not born that way. However, at times - like now - a break is called for and a break is taken. She is just not like the other girls who would indulge herself in luxury on their downtime, rather she enjoy some actions.
Foot stepping on the familiar ground, crushing on dried leaves which muffled her footsteps, Red ordered her servants to stay with her horse; she often prefer to hunt by herself as to not scaring away the animals by having a big group of people trudging around the place. Arming herself before leaving her entourage behind, she left herself in the hands of her instincts, Red Riding Hood went deeper into the forest, leaving the main path behind without the sightless fear that she would be lost.
The morning went on smoothly, riding and shooting are skills this lady mastered a long time ago, she was a natural when it comes to roaming the wild. Graceful and deadly, one of her servant thought so after seeing her in action, like effortless she took down a 142 pound deer, shooting it right in the eyes and never damage other part of the body.
Two hours later, they were hauling back a deer, two squirrel and a wild turkey, it seems like they would have extra meat for dinner. As a queen, Red surprisingly doesn't display any arrogance and chatted with the boy and girl following her around, they shared bread and wine in the meadow, brief stop enjoying the sunlight before heading back to Dårlig Ulv Slott. It was serene time among the chaotic reality which everyone wanted to escape from, especially Red.
Running a Kingdom is not easy, it has never been as what one imagine to be: all fun and no work, everyone wish life as that easy. While Red Riding Hood who has seen more than how your average girl sees the world to be, she understand the importance of living the exact moment you're in, and that means appreciating everything that she was given in life, at the time and not saying a delayed regret of how she should've been better than that.
"Shall we head back to the castle?" after long hours sitting on the grass munching bread and cheese, apples and sweets, Red suggested, knowing soon the sun would be too hot to sit under comfortably. They packed up, folding the blanket and keeping the leftover food in the woven basket, made sure they've left nothing behind before going home.
Home, the castle in the darkest part of the wood has come to be her home, and it isn't so bad at all, a little run down and old maybe, but after you pass the thickest tree which shield the castle from sight, you would see it bathing under the sun, grand and bright. Maybe this is how all journeys should be, just after the hardest part always hidden the most beautiful sight, as long as you don't give it up, you're in for a treat.
Red Riding Hood dismounted her horse as soon as she passed the giant gate, smiled up at the servant who helped her leading the horse away she mumbled him a brief "Thanks" and off she went through the neatly trimmed garden, thought of checking up on the Red Cloaks. But as she passed the front door, there she saw a familiar figure by their doorsteps.
"Belle!" raising her voice slightly, Red called to her friend who came from the Fifth Kingdom. Panic seized her for a moment made her hurried up to Belle without running, Has something happened? To the Fifth? To Adam? Couldn't stop herself from assuming the worst out of the situation, normal visit from an old friend has not even occur to her as her mind jumped into conclusion. "Belle, what's wrong?" came her first question as soon as she stood in front of Belle, her frown was deep pulling her brows together, eyes filled with concern. She reached out a hand towards the queen of Fifth Kingdom in case she needed support.

Belle was getting only slightly more annoyed them usual. She was checking herself and taking a few deep breaths to keep from screaming at the one who was not letting her in even with the comment that she had said. She had expected this from the guards of the second kingdom. She even expected it out of Snow's guards as well. They boarded the witch's Kingdom, and it was possible that the witches could devise a plan to infiltrate their castles parading as a friend to them. She stood and waited hoping that Bigby or Red would come out soon. She took another deep breath calming her nerves. She really just wanted to get inside to sit down.
She wasn't feeling very well and she had made this trip by herself with no guards or anyone following her. It was probably stupid of her to leave like that but she couldn't help it. She was worried and when she worried she tended to do things she really shouldn't. On top of that the guard was bring down the happy mood that she had been in this morning when she ventured to the castle. She thought about Red again a moment later and a small smile came back onto her features. She looked at the guard again and answered another question that he asked her. She certainly hoped that all was well with Red and Bigby.
Belle turned as she heard Red's voice. There was concern in it and the way she was walking put a worried look on Belle's face as well. She listened to Red's question and a bit of relief came to her face. The news she brought was not bad. She took Red's hand though. She was tired and needed some tea but other than that all was going to be well today. At least that was what she had been telling herself all the way here. "Nothing is horribly wrong my dear friend. Adam sends his regards to you and Bigby. I have come to tell you some news but I would like to do so out of ear shot of others." She whispered the last part indicating anyone that really might be around them.
Being this close to the third Kingdom made her act a little different then she woud in the other Kingdoms especially when the news that she had. She didn't want the witches finding out and she sure as hell didn't want someone hurting her friends because of it.
