Strengths: Confident; outgoing; strong; daring; brave; determined, but only if it’s something he really believes in or with things that he wants to accomplish; very loyal and protective of those close to him; willing to put his well being at stake for those he trusts. He’s also a good actor, singer, and dancer, which contributes positively to his love for theater, and public speaking isn’t really a big fear of his.
Weaknesses: Although he doesn’t have a hard time making friends, he has a hard time making close friends; guarded; has a hard time talking to people about personal issues; doesn’t trust easily; spiteful; bitter about things in his past; has a hard time relating to and understanding others, so he might seem a bit insensitive; a little cocky; impulsive; very stubborn; doesn’t apply himself if he doesn’t like something; can be lazy; has emotional problems, which occasionally (though not very often) get in the way of his life; sometimes likes to run away from his problems rather than face them.
Personality: On the outside, Elliott generally appears to be outgoing and confident, and for the most part, he is, though his personality goes much deeper than that. Elliott has had to deal with a lot in his life, even as young as he is, and it shows in the deeper levels of his personality. Though he doesn’t necessarily have a hard time making friends, he has a hard time making close friends. He finds it hard to talk about personal issues, and might also seem a bit insensitive to others because he does not relate to or understand them easily. When Elliott does make close relationships, however, he is almost unconditionally loyal to those he trusts, and very protective of them, willing to put his own well being at stake to stand up for them.
Elliott is confident and daring, which is part of the reason he is such a great actor. He is not afraid to get up in front of an audience and act, dance, or sing, and is quite at ease with public speaking. This kind of attitude makes him cocky, though, as well as reckless. He is also extremely stubborn and hard-headed, and when added to his bravery, it makes him not want to back down easily.
With school, Elliott can go one of two ways. If he likes the subject or finds the class interesting, he will generally do well in it. If he doesn’t like the subject or finds the class boring, he will often do worse in it. This is reflected in his grades in math and science, versus his grades in his electives, and English. He can’t seem to focus as well in math and science, and isn’t very motivated to do the work to get the grade. Sure, he’ll pass the grade, maybe with a C, but he won’t actually try very hard. This is the case with just about everything in his life -- if he dislikes, he often won’t put a lot of energy into it, though if he does like it, he’ll throw himself at it completely. Thus, the only reason he passes math with a C is because he won’t be allowed in the school theater productions unless his grades are C’s and above. But if that wasn’t the case, he probably wouldn’t care.
Elliott goes to therapy every once in awhile and has some emotional problems, and is sometimes the kind of person who seeks to run away from his problems rather than face them. At other times, he just needs a break. His problems can cause him a great deal of stress, which could also be a factor that contributes to the trait he has of not applying himself.
All in all, somebody might not guess from primary interactions with him that he has many problems and a deeper personality than on the outside, but those that are close to him do realize this.
Eyes: Green.
Hair: Black, which he usually styles up in some way, and when he doesn’t, he’s usually not feeling good, and might put it under a hat.
Physique: Elliott has a sturdy, strong build, with some muscles that simply come from the fact that he likes to work out -- when he can. He stands at a fairly average height of 5’11”, and is basically done growing. Elliott is surprisingly light on his feet. He tends to wear casual clothing, though will gladly wear nice clothes if the situation calls for it.

History: Shifra Piekarski met Conan Lane when she was just seventeen years old, and he himself was twenty. Conan had begun frequenting the restaurant that Shifra’s parents owned. After some innocent flirtation, Shifra began seeing Conan in private. After about six months of seeing him, and shortly after turning eighteen, Shifra came out about it to her parents. They were very skeptical at first, and tried to keep her away from him, but once she had finished high school, Shifra did the impulsive and reckless thing -- she moved out of her parents house, and into Conan’s. Her relationship with her parents was distant until she had Elliott. Likewise, Conan had always had a bad relationship with his parents, which led him to run away from home at only sixteen. Since the day he had run away, the only member of his family that he had talked to was his elder brother, Quinton -- he hadn’t talked to his parents or his little sister in years. Conan joined the military when he was eighteen.
Despite Shifra’s parents doubt and Conan’s parents absence, Shifra and Conan got married when she was twenty, and he was twenty-three. They got married by legal means -- that is to say, no religious involvement (Shifra was a semi-devoted Jew and though Conan’s family with Catholic, he had no religious affiliation), and the service was intended by nobody but themselves.
A year later, after she had completed an associate’s degree in college and begun working, Shifra became pregnant, and gave birth to a healthy baby boy during the late hours of June 12th. This was the time when she reconciled with her parents, and they accepted her back into the family. She promised to raise the baby as Jewish -- mostly. She was still sentimental to Conan’s family’s religion, even though he was not, and so taught the boy a bit about Christianity, and let him grow up celebrating Christmas and the likes. Two years after Elliott was born, his grandfather, Jakub, died of cancer. Elliott doesn’t have any memories of him.
In Elliott’s early years, he was very close to his mom, and a bit distant from his dad. He was also, maybe a bit surprisingly, close to his grandmother. Since Conan was in the army, he was shipped overseas a lot, which was partially why Elliott wasn’t very close with him. That, and Conan just didn’t know how to be a very good father.
When Elliott was nine, he went out with his mother to the bank, and there was a robbery. After holding hostages for nearly two hours, the robbers finally shot and killed Elliott’s mother, while she was trying to defend him. She was the only person that died at the scene.
Elliott lived with his grandmother for a while after that, due to his father being one of the first troops shipped out to fight in the War on Terror. At first, he didn’t really understand what had happened, and simply wanted his mother back, though after time it became worse, and he was put into more therapy sessions (on top of the ones he had already been give). It took him two years to fully “get over it” -- though of course, one can never truly “get over” seeing their mother be killed.
When he was twelve, Elliott was put into his father's unstable care. His father, who was discharged from the army, took up a few odd jobs, but was very unsteady in terms of his career. At the beginning, Conan was severely depressed, and after several months, he just became angrier and more violent -- and abusive. Because of the abuse and neglect, Elliott’s personality, behavior, and school performance began to decrease. Social workers finally took interest in him to decide why -- since he had been relatively well-behaved until he was thirteen -- and found out about the problems. They removed Elliott from his father’s care at the age of fourteen and a half, and along with being put back into his grandmother’s care, he was also put into a lot of therapy -- again.
Elliott had always had a love for acting and the theater, and though he had been in a few middle school production, his love for it only heightened during high school, and he began a big part of the drama program at his school during high school. It was there that he made quite a few friends, including Kai Starshine, who, despite being mute, was also interested in theater. Elliott considers Kai one of his closest friends, despite bis muteness, and he might be seen around the Starshine house quite often, because he likes to go there to “escape” when he feels too restricted by life at home.
