Likes:
- Screamo - It didn't take long for Arya to catch onto this kind of music when she first heard it. She doesn't know why it has such a great appeal to her... it just does. But she tends to turn to it whenever she's faced with something that she simply doesn't want to deal with or when she just wants to escape the world around her.
- Winter - All of Arya's favorite things to do are best done during winter. She loves curling up by the fire place and reading a book, hot chocolate, snow ball fights, snowy landscapes, winter-y winds, and even that painful tingly feeling you get once you get feeling in your toes again.
- The Outdoors - Arya's not much of an athlete, but she does enjoy just being outside. She hasn't had a lot of free time in her short life, but she does love the treat of getting to be outside. The land outside is always more exciting than the building she's in and, if she's stuck indoors, it's not strange to see her wistfully staring out a window.
- Reading - Even though Arya tends to be a bit of a klutz, she's actually pretty intelligent for the number of times she's hit her head on the doorway/wall/floor. She actually quite likes reading, even if they're one of those old, dusty spell books. Her favorite ones are history books and poetry collections. Perhaps others may see it as a bit of a waste of time, but she considers it best to be 'culturally informed'.
- Her Family - Arya has had a lot of embarrassing things happen to her when she's with her family, but that doesn't diminish the love she has for them all. She likes it when everyone's together and having a good time. It just gives her good vibes.
Dislikes:
- Casting Spells - Even though Arya's a witch in training, she really hates having to use magic. She considers herself to be an absolute failure at it and does her best to avoid it whenever possible because of multiple bad experiences in her past. Her spells always mess up and they normally end up hurting someone or damaging something.
- Fire - Arya has had way too many close calls that have to deal with fire throughout her life to be comfortable around flames. Even candles make her feel nervous.
- Spicy foods - Okay... spicy things are just nasty... and this probably has something to do with her dislike of fire.
- Failing her mother/sisters - Because of the way that Arya's cursed, she's quite familiar with feeling like an absolute failure, but that doesn't make failing any easier for her. She hates watching her sisters excel while she's stuck in the back, like a defective link in another wise perfect chain.
- Screams/getting in her personal space - Sure, screamo is fine but people screaming at her is a big no-no. Yelling at Arya and getting in her face is a definite way to set her off. She will raise her voice back at someone if they're stepping on dangerous ground. The only people who are actually allowed to touch her are the members of her family and her mother is the only one she will not talk back to.
Strengths:[/size]
- Defensive Magic -- Okay, so Arya is a major failure when it comes down to combat magic, but she's not so bad when it comes down to defensive magics. She may not be able to heal a potentially fatal wound or make a guy boil from the inside out, but she can make sure that your head stays on your shoulders. She can easily conjure shields that are offer both physical and mental protection. She also has a spot of talent when it comes down to manipulating time and her most recent success has been pausing time for those around her while she's free to move and her next project is to be able to do a group pause.
- Long-Range Combat -- Because of the fact that Arya's ability to use combat magic is absolutely horrible, she had to train in a different way than her sisters in order to be able to keep up with them. So, she turned to long-range combat that allows her to concentrate on her shields while still being able to fight and not get in the way of her sisters. Archery is her strong suit, though she is also fairly familiar with throwing knives. She knows how to shoot a gun too but that's a little hush-hush.
- Scholarly -- All that time Arya spent reading books isn't for nothing! She actually knows a whole bunch of useless information and not so useless information. She kind of thinks she has a photographic memory, but she's not entirely sure. Regardless, she can just as easily remember three different lemon pie recipes as she can remember the exact pressure points on the human body. Her quest for knowledge is never ending and she is quick to catch any holes in information or lies if it's a subject she's already familiarized herself with.
Weaknesses:[/size]
- Cursed -- Spells just go wrong whenever Arya's casting them. Spells that are supposed to be stable seem to have escaped the curse but spells that require fast thinking and flexibility escape her grasp. If she dares try to summon a tiny flame, she could easily burn down an entire building. She's done her best to master the more destructive spells, but they've all ended up disastrous and has basically given up on such magic.
- Quick to become emotional -- Perhaps Arya's a tiny bit oversensitive, but she easily grows upset. If someone casts a disapproving glance towards her, she freaks out and comes up with a thousand reasons as to why that person could be upset with her when, in reality, they're just having a bad day. It also isn't all that hard to make her angry... however, swaying her to believe something/fight for a cause isn't all that easy. (See scholarly)
- Physically weak -- Arya has some issues with her physical state in comparison to her sisters. She's always the slowest when it comes down to running and the weakest when she has to lift something. She sometimes gets ridiculously out of breath while doing something simple like walking up stairs but she would rather die than let her sisters or mother know... she already feels like she's too much of a failure to allow them to know yet another defect in her.
Personality:[/size][/font]
Arya is a very defensive person. There's no escaping that fact of her personality. Some might even call her relatively paranoid. She's constantly on the look out for things that might make her look like she's not perfectly capable of handling herself and watching her words. Because of the fact that she feels ashamed of her abilities, she doesn't talk very much for fear that her words might be a mistake too. She is rarely outspoken and always seems to be incredibly tense while around other people. She doesn't do particularly well with strangers unless her sisters are around and, even then, she normally lets them do all of the talking.
Then there's the side of her that she only ever really shows whenever she's around her sisters and they aren't on a mission or something like that. She loses the tense air about her and is willing to laugh along with the others but, even then, she measures each word she says very carefully. Despite her laconic ways, she does her best to show that she truly does love her sisters and appreciates being in their company. This side of her displays a much less serious young lady who's fascinated by the world around her. Her love of books and knowledge comes through in her conversations and she constantly wants to be outside whenever she gets to spend time with her sisters too.
Eyes:[/size] Her eyes are a lively and unrealistic color of gold that can be seen through this link!. They look grey in dim lighting. If one looks closely, they'd see that there is also some red and green towards the center of them. Her gaze is quite intense yet curious most of the time, but they almost never stay in the same place because she's constantly observing every detail possible.
Hair:[/size] Her hair is a strawberry blonde color but she doesn't hesitate to dye (link) it when opportunity arises. She likes to have it a pretty red like that of her sisters but dye doesn't take too well to her hair and normally only stays in for a week maximum.
Physique:[/size]Arya lacks everything her sisters have as far as her body is concerned. She's not very tall, only five feet. She doesn't have the easy confidence or curves of Adrienne, nor does she resemble her mother like Alecto. She sometimes even wonders if she actually came from Aella's DNA, but she knows that there are parts of her that are similar to her mother... somewhere.
Arya is stick thin. She doesn't care much for eating and it shows. She also doesn't have much of any muscle on her. She barely looks like she's done any exercise in her life, and she's not sure why that is. Her skin is a very pale color, almost like that of cream. Her limbs seem to be a bit strange to her, as if she's just had them grow on recently. She has long, lanky legs and arms. When she sits down, she basically folds herself into the position. Walking seems to be a dangerous feat for her because she almost always finds a way to trip over that invisible root or stumble over a corner. She also has a bad habit of knocking herself into tables and chairs and she swears they're out to get her. Her arms and legs are quite often covered in the occasional bruise or scratch because of this, not to mention her clothing often gets small rips and holes.
The way she holds herself reveals her very standoffish personality. She often slouches, making her seem even shorter. She doesn't hold her head high with confidence but it often hangs at a low angle. She only ever raises it to look around herself.
As far as fashion is concerned, some may say she has no taste at all. She often wears sweaters or at least long sleeved items. She doesn't have a preference between skirts or pants. She does enjoy all kinds of shoes though, especially any kind that can make her taller. Here's where the strange comes in. She doesn't like just normal clothes. She likes anything that's strange or may be perceived as a strange. In her closet a vest made of dried grass can be found, as well as a sweater that looks like chain mail but is as light as any other shirt. (Example: A, B, C, D, E). She almost always has a bag over her shoulder with some kind of book inside of it. She also enjoys jewelry of all kinds and her jewelry is equally as odd as her clothes.

History: [/font]Arya's coming into this world was somewhat... different. She didn't seem to be special like her other sisters, her true nature unclear for the first few months. While it seemed as though everyone else was finding their exact spot in the world, Arya was struggling. She trained with the rest of them but the others learned while she seemed to struggle to grasp whatever the concept was at the time and she began to grow jealous of her sisters. She distanced herself from them while she just wanted to be like they were the whole time.
She'd often push herself to a mental break down and beyond. She was so frustrated with her lack of ability to do anything right that everything began to go even worse for her. The spells she'd push so hard for would grow out of control whenever she'd cast them. It was during one such occasion where she accidentally burned one of her sisters, Alecto, when a fire spell went awry. Alecto never reacted negatively towards for Arya having burnt her and forgave her, but Arya was determined to find a way to make it up to her. She felt guilty for the time she was rude to her sisters out of jealousy and was quick to try to form bonds with all of them, but her preference for Alecto was apparent.
With her emotions relatively in-check, Arya let herself start exploring other options when it came down to magic instead of getting frustrated with it. She was happy to discover that she had some promise when it came down to defensive magic, though it wasn't exactly what she'd been hoping for. Due to the fact that she knew that she wouldn't be able to go on the offensive with magic, Arya turned to weapons instead. Long-range weaponry to be exact. She grew a love for archery, but the road there was difficult for her.
It was while she was training with weapons that Arya first started to truly realize just how cursed she was. She was horribly weak... unnaturally so. At first, lifting anything above 40 lbs would make her arms scream out in agony. It took her a long while to be able to have the arm-power necessary to pull back on the bowstring, especially because she lost energy quickly. She didn't know what was wrong with herself. She'd always hide this from the others, even Alecto and especially from her mother, Aella. She'd already been such a failure, she didn't want to be even more of a stain on her reputation. So she kept training and training. However, if she pushed herself too hard, she'd start coughing until she'd be forced to stop and recover. She determined that she was imperfectly created... and this information will stay with her till her dying day.
