She had gotten up early this morning as she could not sleep. She was worried and when Belle worried she never slept well. She had left Adam in bed and had gone to check on the children who had been safely asleep in their beds. It was Cogsworth who had happened upon her first asking her if she needed anything from him. She shook her head knowing that the older man had likely been up into all hours of the night much like Lumierre probably had been. She was only slightly wondering where the other one was as she headed for the sitting room. She was sure that she'd see the others soon enough. After all the servants were usually up before them so that they could wake them if something needed their attention. Lucky for Belle she was left alone to her own devices.
There was still a small fire going in the fire place or maybe someone had put it there for her when they heard her footsteps. However, she doubted as much she couldn't remember when she and Adam had retried. She shrugged it off though and found her favorite book sitting down on the floor next to the chair that Adam sat in most of the time. She rather loved her position on the floor next to that chair. It was the same place she had healed his wounds and had read to him all those long nights ago. Things seemed so much simpler back then. Now she was hearing concerns of those who feared another war and the third Kingdom. She was sure her people would fight for their freedom and not be over taken but war was something she didn't want to happen. If only they could find a way to negotiate with the witches which was likely not going to happen.
Belle shook her head and opened up her book and began to read it. She smiled as she started to pull up the images of the landscape and people. Oh how she loved reading and it usually made her forget about everything else. She would be so lost in thought that even some of the servants would be inclined not to say something to her. She was never upset when they pulled her from the world her stories let her enter even if it was just for a very short time.

I am the shadow on the moonlit night Filling your dreams to the brim of fright! The handsome King woke up, opening his eyes slowly. He then looked to where his wife would be sleeping but….found her to be up before him. Perplexed, Adam decided to get out of bed. Maybe his lady wife had been worried about something; she often woke up early. Adam had a wash, a shave and then got dressed in his usual plain white shirt and black trousers. He preferred keeping his clothing style simple; all that dressing up in fancy rich clothing wasn’t for him. The former Beast checked on the children and then went to see where his beloved wife was.
The handsome King saw Lumiere; the poor guy had probably not slept. The servants went above and beyond their required services, and Adam really appreciated that; maybe they could go on paid leave. They needed it. “Lumiere, what are you doing up? Get some rest. Belle and I will manage without you. I won’t take no for an answer, man! Go!” He gave a chuckle and a smile, to show he was joking. Lumiere thanked him and left. King Adam would make sure the others would get some rest too, if he found them. Adam stood there for a few minutes then he had it. Why hadn’t he thought of it before? He could sniff Belle out; she had a distinct smell.
He eventually found her and smiled. “Morning, love. What’s got you up so early then?” asked Adam, who came up behind her, planted a kiss on her cheek and sat opposite his lady wife.

On the other hand there were just so many things running through her mind right now. So many things she wanted to bring up but part of her was afraid of saying anything. Adam had been so busy with getting the rest of the kingdoms on the same page about the witches and she had been dealing with the usual issues on the home front that they had not had much time to be alone together. It would be nice to just sit either in his lap or on the floor with her hand on her arm reading or enjoying each other's company. She missed that and right now it was something that she really wanted.
For a moment she pulled herself out of her reading with those thoughts. Some of the female staff could tell that something was up will Belle and one had happily gotten the doctor for her a few weeks ago. She had yet to tell anyone about the doctor visit and she had a feeling that Adam was keeping something from her and she didn't like that thought either. So she had been worrying and not sleeping well for awhile now. She took a deep breath and went back to reading. Mrs. Potts stopped in a few moments later offering the Queen some tea in which as odd as it was she refused politely. She was in the middle of reading when she felt him near her.
He kissed her on the cheek and then set opposite her and she smiled at him. "My love sit next to me in your chair not opposite of me. I love sitting with you next to me. I need you next to me... The last bit was a whisper that she was sure that he would hear. She wanted nothing more then to curl up in his arms at the moment and never let go. She wasn't sure why she was so scared and she wasn't sure why even right now she felt like he was slipping from her. All this talk of war and sneaking around had her so out of it that she couldn't think straight.

I am the shadow on the moonlit night Filling your dreams to the brim of fright! Adam gave a small smile to his lady wife and did as she asked; sitting so she could lean into him, if she wanted. Recently, Adam hadn’t been very forthcoming about the spies he had and he felt guilty for not telling his dear wife, but he didn’t know how well she would take the news of her husband employing spies to keep tabs on the Kingdoms. He knew she loved him dearly, as did he, but he didn’t know how she would take the news. Maybe she would look at him with horror and fury or maybe she would look at him with those loving eyes of hers and understand.
He smelled her worry and confusion. He should tell her about the spies, it was only right. Maybe she would even work with him; that would be both terrifying and good if she did work with him. He had to tell her, if not soon. He didn’t want to keep secrets from his lady wife. The former Beast began to stroke his wife’s hair, hopefully comforting her. He then decided to tell her about the spies; it would be better in the long run. There would be no arguments then. See, Adam had strived for the perfect marriage with Belle, which took hard work and dedication.
“Darling, we need to talk,” he began, steeling himself. He didn’t know how she’d react. “I have employed certain people throughout the Kingdoms to act as my spies. I like to keep tabs on the Kingdoms.” He waited for her reaction and hoped it was a positive one. Tag: Belle Words: 265

Belle was almost instantly comforted when Adam sat next to her. She in turned sat upon his lap and leaned into him. It was a rather intimate moment for the two of them or at least for her. Something they had not done for awhile. She almost missed the feel of her husband in this way. Belle couldn't help but be worried and slightly confused about everything that was going on these days. They had children they took care of and yet war seemed to be slow close at hand again and part of her didn't want it. Then there was that teeny little secret she hadn't told Adam about and she hoped that he hadn't in a sense sniffed it out already either. She was caught in those thoughs as she leaned and snuggled into him a little more.
At the words we need to talk she sat up straight and looked at him. They strived to have a perfect marriage to only keep those things from each other that would cost a certain situation at a certain time. Everything would eventually come out and well that's how they had planned thing. She looked at him with a small nod. She would need to tell him her secret anyways it was unfair to him to not know what should be joyful news but what was scarying her more then anything at the moment. Belle gave him a look of almost utter confusion and then closed her eyes and took a deep breath. He husband has spies did that mean that his spies would have seen her go to the doctors? Did that mean had had spies within the castle walls as well?
Belle stood up for a moment and paced back and forth infront of Adam unsure how to take what she had just been told. Part of her understood his husband's reasoning. He was always very careful and very precise and spies well spies were needed if they wanted to defeat the witches but spies could also be the down fall of their people and of her husband. She took another deep breath opened her eyes looked at him then looked away again. Pacing wasn't usually the best thing and her hand went to her stomach. She stood where she was for a moment and then turned back to him. "I suppose that so long as you know they will not betray you all is well. Plus it makes more sense then not sense to have some. and so long as everyone is happy about it and you have some watching the third kingdom. All is well." The look in her eyes was loving and after her intial shock full of understand as well.
"I just don't want to lose you love. I wouldn't be able to handle it. On top of that what would I tell our child. I'm pregnant my love." She finally sat back down on the floor next to the chair that he was in and took a few calming breaths. Stress was not a good thing not for the Queen of the fifth kingdom at the moment.

I am the shadow on the moonlit night Filling your dreams to the brim of fright! Adam was shocked; he had thought that his lady wife would be upset by it. Indeed, she had sat up straight immediately after he had told her and there had been shock in her beautiful eyes. He watched as Belle paced back and forth, then took a deep breath, turned away from him and faced her husband again. Her eyes were full of understanding. He couldn’t she was being really supportive of this spy network.
“I have spies, don’t worry, my love. Cinderella from the First Kingdom is one of my spies, actually,” said Adam. “Besides Cinderella, no one knows about my spies.” He hoped that Belle would still be ok with this arrangement. With the mention of spies, Adam wondered how his spies were doing; maybe he should arrange a meeting with them at some point, to see how they were and to see what intel they had gathered. Yes, he would do that soon.
Adam was again shocked when his lady wife told him some pretty big news. He couldn’t quite believe what he was hearing. The handsome former Beast was speechless for a minute. He then belted out a laugh and bear-hugged his wife. The King spun in a circle and then set her down. “Oh, Belle, we have another child! We have a child! We must tell the kids and the servants! How many moons have you been with child?”
Adam was extremely happy. He was getting another kid. He would have to tell his friends throughout the Kingdom of this joyous news! Tag: Belle Words: 257

Ordinarily Belle could deal with loads of stress but not it just made her worry more or well made her over emotional. Thankfully today was just utter worry but that didn't mean she wouldn't be reduced to a ball of tears at a moments notice. She wasn't that far along but with stress it just seemed to make things a bit well complicated. She tried to keep herself from stressing but well it didn't work as well as she wanted it too. At least after telling her husband that she was pregnant a sort of relief flooded through her. They had been so distant lately even when sleeping in the same bed. It wasn't because they wanted to be distant but because they were both so tired and there were so many other things on their minds. Now she at least knew why he kept away and some of what he had been doing. Spies though dangerous could be very useful and as she thought on that she could totally understand why he had employeed some. She wondered if the other Kingdoms had done the same thing or if the ones closest to the third Kindgom had other ways of dealing with the situation there. Queen Red for instance. She always worried about Red and her husband.
She listened to him speak about the fact that Cindy was one of his spies. That was good to know actually and it gave her a little more comfort that he was not alone in this thinking and that at least one other thought it was a good idea. She gave him a nod and then she was lifted up in a bear like hug and spun around. "Love be careful please." She let herself giggle just a little bit. She held onto him even after her set her down not wanting to move from his presence. Though she did finally let go of him. She smiled at him for a long moment. "Love we must be careful how, and who we tell. I don't want the witches finding out." Her tone was almost deadly serious and even Adam would be able to point out the fear in her voice. She didn't want the witches hurting her child nor did she want anyone but say a few of the royals to know that she was with child. There were however people who needed to be told and they would tell them. Hopefully together. "About three moons now my love." As she tried to think back a bit. She had gone to the doctors a few weeks ago but it was a few weeks before that, that she had been feeling odd in a sense.
She hoped that he would not be angry that she hadn't told him sooner.

I am the shadow on the moonlit night Filling your dreams to the brim of fright! Adam knew that his lady wife worried so much; the ongoing fight was certainly taxing and Adam feared that the stress would cause harm to the baby. He gave her a loving smile and caressed her cheek. Adam wished that he could take all the worry and stress away from his beloved but all he could really do was be there for her, care for her, support her. The King of the Fifth Kingdom looked to his wife lovingly. He was so overjoyed that he was to be a father that no words passed his lips and he could feel himself wanting to scream with joy.
“I will be careful, my love, and I will only tell those who I feel I can trust, ok?” said Adam, who chuckled and kissed her on the forehead. The handsome, burly King wondered why she hadn’t told him before. Granted, they had been busy with ruling the Kingdom and whatnot but Belle could have told him. It made him feel a little guilty that he hadn’t been spending actual time with his Queen.
“Three moons ago? That is fantastic, dear! Do any of the servants know?”
Adam wondered if the child would be a boy or girl; not that it mattered. He was happy that Belle was with child; they had been trying for so long that Adam had started to doubt whether they could bear children. His doubts were washed away now though. Tag: Queen BelleWords: 241

Belle couldn't help but be stressed and worried. The doctor had told her to drink a special tea to calm herself and almost as if Mrs. Potts knew she was in with a cup of steaming tea. Belle looked at the older woman as she moved in. Belle always knew when Mrs. Potts was around. "Here my dear child." She said handing the cup to Belle and then hurrying out again. Belle almost instantly burst into tears as she took a sip of the tea. She couldn't help crying with the worry and the stress and the fact that she hadn't been this close and intimate with Adam in a long time. All she wanted was peace and rest from worry of another war starting. She took a deep breath and put down the cup on the table.
She nodded her head when Adam promised her that he would only tell the people he felt he could trust. She was glad that he was not upset with her but she felt bad still for not telling him sooner. It was just that she hadn't known til a few weeks ago and they were just so busy with everything. She smiled when he asked if any of the servants knew. "Well, Mrs. Potts knows and so Chip knows as well cause you know how curious he is." She had a tender spot for the child of Mrs. Potts. Always treating him like one of her own too. She could help but look after the younger ones. "Susan and Babette also know which means that I'm sure Cogsworth and Lummier know as well." It wasn't like news didn't spread like wildfire in the house when all of them were involved. She let out a soft sigh but there were still tears falling down her cheeks.
She leaned into him and cried into his shoulder. She lifted her head. "I'm sorry my love. I'm not sure how to deal with all of this right now. With my hormones and moods and having to make sure that I don't snap at the wrong people." She shook her head. Doing all of this was just complicated. She snuggled into him again breathing him in and taking comfort in his scent and warmth.

I am the shadow on the moonlit night Filling your dreams to the brim of fright! Adam watched as Mrs Potts brought his lady wife some tea. He hated seeing his wife get so riled; it wasn’t good for her or the baby. He wondered what gender the babe would be. His mind wondered for a little while, forgetting where he was. Adam wouldn’t mind having a son. He loved Amaranthus dearly but he so wanted another son, not to replace Amaranthus, of course, but just so he could have another son. Of course, it could easily be a girl, which he wouldn’t mind either.
He mentally ticked off the number of people who knew of his Belle’s pregnancy. He certainly did know how news spread around the castle. Things weren’t kept quiet for long in the castle, mainly because the people were so open and honest, well most of them anyway. The burly King was glad he retained his enhanced senses; it made him able to sniff out the liars and suck-ups. He hated suck-up; they were annoying. Some of his councilmen were suck-ups, and he would fire them if he could but there weren’t many people who were able to be the King’s councilmen.
He let her cry into her shoulder, stroking her hair and said, ‘there, there’ and ‘it’ll be alright’ over and over again. Poor, sweet Belle; the pregnancy was hard on her. Maybe he should send his darling lady wife away so she could relax some, but where to? He’d have a think; maybe one of the other Queens would be delighted to have her. Perhaps he could send word to Rapunzel and see if she would having Belle for a few days. Yes, he would do that.
“It’ll be fine, dear. I’ll take on more courtly duties so you can be more relaxed, if you like. I don’t mind doing that, and also, I shall send you away to relax, so you don’t have to worry about the Kingdom. How does that sound?” Tag: Queen BelleWords: 323

Belle had so many things on her mind right now. The baby growing inside of her and the children that she tended too every day. She wanted to protect all of it. Then there was the fact of the witches and the upcoming war. This was all just going to drive her completely crazy. It was why the doctor had told her to drink the tea and to try and keep herself as far away from the things that stressed her out as possible. The only issue there was she was the Queen and there was no stopping her from doing her royal duty or from stressing out about just every day things when there were witches around that could hurt everything she loved.
She picked up the tea and downed it. She let her husbands words finally set into her. He had told her it would be okay while she was crying and now he was telling her that he would take on more duties and that he would send her away so that she wouldn't worry. She would worry all the more. She looked at him tears starting again. "No please don't send me away please." She buried her head in his shoulder again. She almost felt like he didn't want her there but she knew better. She shuddered from crying and then finally after awhile stopped. She moved from his shoulder and off of his lap. "I'm sorry I'm such a mess right now. Its just hard." There was nothing else she could say at the moment. She almost hated admitting she was scared and that something was hard for her.
Belle was a strong woman and yet something growing inside of her and the rest of the people she cared for could turn her into a complete mess. However, she always ended up being stronger. It had been a long time since she had actually broken down in front of Adam. She took a deep breath and started to pace yet again.

I am the shadow on the moonlit night Filling your dreams to the brim of fright! Adam hated seeing his lady wife so stressed out; it wasn’t good for the Queen, or the baby growing inside of her. She did so much for the Kingdom and she was a great mother and a wonderful wife. A holiday would do her some good, Adam thought. The family could all go on a holiday, though the Kingdom would be in turmoil then. There was also the question of who would actually run the Kingdom, too. He didn’t know who would be a good temporary ruler. He would also need to be in constant correspondence with whoever was the temporary ruler; no one would mess with his dear Kingdom. Things were so much simpler when Adam’s mother and father ruled; if only they could have lived. They would have been at his coronation; at his marriage ceremony to Belle and when he and Belle adopted Iris and Aramanthus.
Adam was shocked by this outburst but nevertheless stroked his wife’s hair; trying to comfort her. Belle was such a strong woman; it was surprising when she did break down. The last time she had broken down was years ago; Adam had been so surprised that he had just stood there, not knowing what to do.
“Darling, it wouldn’t be forever; just so you can be away from all this stress and relax. Maybe you can stay with Rapunzel for a few days. I just hate seeing you like this,” said Adam, who then kissed his dear, beloved wife on her head. Belle really needed to be careful; she’d become ill if she carried on this way and that would jeopardise the baby then. It was why he had suggested that Belle go away for a few days. Adam sighed and then watched as Belle started to pace. She was starting to scare Adam.
“Dearest, what are you doing?” asked the burly King of the Fifth Kingdom. He was at a loss of what to do with his lady wife; he so wanted to comfort her but didn’t know how.
