Personality: The first thing that most people noticed about Daniel is that he is always quiet. No, it isn't because he is very shy around new people. He just doesn't see a point in speaking unless he has something important to say or unless someone asks him a serious question, and he will turn anyone into a fly if they do talk excessively. When he does speak, Daniel tends to be very quiet as he doesn't want what he says to be overheard by someone that he doesn't trust, and he tends not to trust anyone who he hasn't known for a great length of time. In fact, this fellow only believes that you should only truly trust about four people in your life, and those four people can't be alive at the same time. The only time that he has broken this rule was with his adoptive parents, who he cared for deeply.
Another fun fact about Daniel is that has a natural confidence in himself that will probably lead to his downfall. He believes that he has a enough power and knowledge that he doesn't need anyone else's help to handle whatever challenges he may face. It is one of the reasons that he was banished from the kingdom where he was born. He also has issues with authority as he believes that if he ever does have to work with others that he should be in charge, and if someone else is in charge he has a tendency to act like a child by mouthing off, pulling pranks or doing whatever he wants to do anyway. Daniel definitely needs someone to take and give him a good smack to the head so that this little problem can be fixed.
Thanks to his time with Merlin, Daniel has become quite intelligent on everything magic as well as everything having to do with the Kingdoms. His philosophy is that knowledge is the real power, so he instinctively wants to learn everything there is to know about something even if it isn't important. The one thing that really interests him outside of magic is music because it seems to calm him to the point that he almost acts like he is a teenager instead of a powerful being. He wants to learn how to play any classical instrument that the world has to offer.
Eyes: Green like leaves
Hair: Blonde, length will vary depending on his mood
Physique:Daniel is a fairly tall fellow as he stands at six feet tall, and he weights around one hundred and sixty-five pounds. He is physically fit as he works out regularly as using magic in battle still requires that one's body is able to react to incoming attacks, so being a little sluggish could get him turned into a newt. His skin is sort of tanned, which makes it easier to see the scar that is located right above his left eyebrow. He has blond hair that is usually slicked back when it is long or spiked up when it was short.
As far as outfits go, Daniel typically wears brown khakis, sneakers and long sleeve shirts. There is also a brown hoodie that he will add to this ensemble whenever he feels like it is necessary. There are a few accessories that Daniel will put on when he is going out to meet some friends. Some examples are enchanted rings and necklaces that ward off certain spells.
History: Five years ago, Merlin decided to create a protégé for himself by taking a lock of his hair and use his magical powers on it to create a son. He had long felt that he needed someone to teach what he knew about magic, but since he couldn't find a suitable person the wise man decided to make one. This is how Daniel came into existence, but unlike most births Daniel didn't start out as a baby. No, Daniel was a twelve year old boy with great power inside of him, and seeing this Merlin began teaching him how to use that power. Starting out, the two of them took it slow with the lessons on certain spells that were quite easy to master, and things were good between the two of them as Daniel was enthusiastic about becoming the next Merlin. His father encouraged that as would any normal parent when a child had a specific gift. Unfortunately, nothing good ever lasts.
After the first two years, Daniel realized that Merlin expected him to pick up every spell as easily as breathing, which was a lot of pressure to put on a fourteen year old. The resentment started off small where Daniel would play practical jokes like an exploding cup here or a random animal in his bed, but things got worse quickly. Practical jokes became direct challenges to Merlin's ability to get past certain magical wards, and eventually they just forgot about using magic and began having arguments about every little thing. The last conversation that they had was the one that would change Daniel's life forever because he openly admitted that he didn't need Merlin anymore, which led to Merlin banishing him to Earth to give the boy what he wanted. Well, this is where the story becomes a lot more interesting for Daniel as he was now homeless at the age of fifteen.
For the first few weeks, Daniel survived on his own by using his abilities to get what he needed, but this began quite taxing on him so he figured he needed a new plan. He decided to try his hands at stealing the old fashion way, but unfortunately he wasn't very good at this so he was immediately caught and put into the foster care system. Not long after, he was adopted by an elderly couple who had never been able to have children of their own, and so Daniel became Daniel Dylan Cassidy. In his new home, Daniel found some things that he hadn't really experienced before, and that was love and a real sense of belonging. With Merlin, he had a purpose, but with the Cassidy family he was their son. Over the next year, he bonded with his new father over a love of books, and his mother taught him how to play the piano. Like before, things were going good, but this time Daniel wasn't using his powers as much.
One day, a man broke into the house to steal valuables, and Daniel used a simple spell to freeze the man in a moment of time. Unfortunately, his parents came down the stairs at that moment to see what had gone on and witnessed Daniel using his powers. Once the criminal was sent off to jail, the three of them had a long talk where Daniel explained who he really was. His parents told him that he shouldn't hide who he was from them, and after that day he didn't. Daniel began using his powers as a means to make his family's life easier, which means using them to help do most of the household chores. As he used his powers more, Daniel began to notice that things were beginning to change for him as he was starting to sense others who had powers like him, so he started tracking them just so he could keep tabs on what they were doing.

Role-play Example:
"Where the heck am I," Erik asked as he walked through the trees. One minute, it had been him in his room with a new email on his computer, and the a second later, he had been transported to a far away land. It just didn't seem possible to him, but it clearly was. Maybe he was asleep, and all he needed to do was pinch himself to wake up. Very slowly, Erik pinched his cheek so that he would know the truth, and he didn't like the answer he got. "Owwwww, he exclaimed as he rubbed his poor cheek.
"Do you always do that when you get dropped off somewhere or is this a random thing? Erik spun around to see where exactly the voice was coming from, but all he saw was a bug on a tree. Actually, it was a rather large bug, and it happened to be staring right at him. "Who said that? Surely, the bug hadn't been the one talking to him because bugs couldn't do things like that unless they were on television. Unfortunately, the green worm decided to come down from the tree and stand directly in front of him. "It was I who asked the question. Now, are you going to answer?"
Erik stood there with his mount open as the thought of a worm-like catepillar talking to him was a lot to process on top of the whole instant transmission to another location. "Where am I?" There was no way that this place was on the planet Earth, or else everyone would know about it. Maybe, he really was asleep, and it was such a deep sleep that pinching himself wouldn't help him wake up. "If I had to guess, then the state of confusion comes to mind. It is also known as the Digi-World, and before you ask I am a species of Digimon known as Wormmon."
There was no way that this was happening. Being pulled out of his room by some unsees force was one thing, but to be placed in a world where animals were super large and could talk All he had wanted to do was find his girl, and now he was in some weird jungle. "Then are you the one who sent the email? Where is she? Where is Selena? I need to find her!" The young man had become franctic as he realized that his girlfriend must be in this Digi-World, and finding her had become even more urgent than before.
The Wormmon looked at him as if he was speaking Greek or soemthing, but he was pretty sure that he understood each part of the human's statement. No. I don't know. I don't know any Selenas. Now, what is your name?" It actually seemed rather fun to blurt out like five different things in thirty seconds without worrying about someone comprehending it, and the green Digimon made a note that he should do it more often in the future. "Also, keep your voice down. We don't want to bring in any unwanted attention."
Erik didn't get what the Wormmon was talking about 'unwanted attention' as he was stuck on the part about the little bug not being the sender. It seemed like someone was trying to mess with his head, and it wasn't very funny to him. This was the girl of his dreams that they were talking about, and if the person who knew where she was lived in this digital world then Erik was going to do everything he could to find her. "If you can hear me Selena, then I promise that if you are here then I will find you," he yelled to the heavans.
"Would you shut up," asked the Wormmon as he jumped from the ground to knock Erik over. "Keep that up, and every Digimon in the jungle will be on us like flies on garbage. I don't think you will be much help to this Selena if you are Digi-chow." The Wormmon crawled off of the emotional young man, and then he coughed. "Now, would you tell me your name already? It is kind of annoying to talk to someone who doesn't know how to introduce himself."
It seemed that Erik wasn't going to get anywhere with the annoying bug until he told him his name."My name is Erik Masson," he said in a semi-calm tone. The Wormmon nodded and then opened his mouth. "Well Erik, it is time that we had a good long conversation, where I speak and you listen."
