Personality:
Mulan has an assertive, though somewhat reserved personality; she is easy to stand up for herself, though she is not necessarily an open person. It takes a lot to earn her trust, and she isn’t one to just tell everybody everything, which makes her quite the good secret keeper. When one does gain her trust, she is very loyal, and would put her own life in danger in order to save or help a friend.
Mulan has always been a rather adventurous person. In her younger years she was quite the rebellious girl, and that trait has changed with the times to make her more of a restless being. She simply doesn’t like being in one place or doing one thing for too long; her thirst for adventure causes her to move around often and seek new opportunities to fit her desires. If there is a lot of adventure in one place, like say, with an army, she might stay there for several years, though if a place seems boring or bland to her she probably won’t stay for very long.
She is a very independent and strong woman, and can more than take care of herself with her life and combat skills. She fights her own battles, and takes care of herself by herself, and doesn’t see it necessary to have a man take care of her; she never has. That doesn’t mean, however, that she is totally averse to romantic relationships. Mulan has had feelings for men more than once in her life, though if she were ever to have a relationship with someone, she would need them to know that she is fully capable of taking care of herself, and she wouldn’t be very dependent on them. This would most likely bring up some relationship problems, and some of her beliefs and traits might even give her some commitment issues.
She is practically everything a good fighter is -- hard-working, determined, brave, and even at times, ruthless. She fights for what she believes in and is hard-headed, not easily swayed from her beliefs. Mulan fights on the side of the “good”, and has high moral standards that she often tries to uphold. She doesn’t care much for material possessions and lavish things, but rather insists on fighting for the things she holds dearly. She thinks fighting for a cause is important, because to her, if you have no cause or nothing to believe in in life, your life is worthless. She gets the jobs done that she needs to get done, which can cause her to be a bit more serious and uptight than she probably needs to be.
Mulan is quite clever, and always tries to think before she acts, but is also good at thinking on her feet. She can keep her cool in stressful situations, which is great in combat.
Eyes: Mulan has dark brown eyes, so dark that they sometimes might appear black.
Hair: Mulan’s hair is long, extending down a little past her shoulder blades. It is thick and a dark brown color, which might appear black in certain lights.
Physique: Mulan doesn’t strike a very imposing figure, standing at just slightly below average height. It’s when she starts fighting that she gets intimidating; she can wield a sword and shoot arrows from a bow with such determination and precision that, unless you’re very stubborn or closed-minded, would probably change your original opinion of her. She is slim, though has a strong build for a woman, with lithe and toned muscles. Her skin is naturally tanned, though pale for someone from her country.

History:
Mulan was born in a land far away from the Nine Kingdoms; it was in this land that she was raised as a child by loving parents, Hua Jinayu and Hua Yue. Mulan was always a tomboy and rebellious in spirit growing up, something that her parents thought was just a phase that would fade away as she grew into a young woman. They were wrong, of course, and as she grew into her adolescent years, she continued to be rebellious and have a fiery spirit, and got into fights (mostly with boys) more often than not. Her parents tried to “tame” her by giving her lessons in things like cooking and other “womanly” things, but she just didn’t take to them.
The first great war of her land is barely within her memory. She was two when it started, and three when her father was enlisted and had to leave his family to go to war. He came back three years later, having to take time from the army because of a bad leg injury. The war ended two years after he returned, when Mulan was eight-years-old. She remembers the ending somewhat, though practically the whole time when her father was gone is just vague little snippets in her memory.
The second great war in Mulan’s country came when she was seventeen-years-old. At the outbreak of the war, every family was asked to send their eldest son to be trained for the war. As Mulan was a girl, and the only child in the family, her father was going to be the one sent off to war. The leg injury that he had received from the first war was permanent and would surely cause his death in battle, as Mulan and her mother feared. Because of this, Mulan ended up leaving for the training camp herself, under the guise of a young man. Her parents, fearing that some kind of harm would come to her if her true identity was revealed, did not go after her; instead, they waited.
Mulan was in the army for quite a few years before the men learned of her true identity. She was given scorn for being a woman, though fought for her right to stay in the army; her arguments seemed to work on her general, for he let her continue fighting until the war was over. She eventually received rather high merit by the end of the war, though refused to take any reward, and returned to her hometown instead.
After a couple years, her restlessness and sense of adventure got the best of her, and she became bored with her life. So, one day, Mulan packed up her belongings and bid her parents a farewell, then began traveling. She traveled around her own country for a little while, but then decided to see what the outside world was like. She soon found herself in the Nine Kingdoms.
Mulan has long done mercenary work for both royals and commoners alike in the Nine Kingdoms, and soon after she had entered them, she became a Legend. She most likely has some pretty high-ranking connections in the Nine Kingdoms, considering the work she has done for some of them, though does not care much for their material wealth; she does work for them to get just enough money to live comfortably, but that is all. Mulan’s desire for adventure would keep her from wanting a lot, anyway. It slows her down.
Currently, Mulan is a soldier in Cinderella’s army in the First Kingdom. She hasn’t been there for terribly long, and there is currently a lot of activity, so she isn’t restless -- yet.
