Enigma is the most adequate and accurate word to describe Niahm. Little or nothing is known about her, except what people see, or what she wants people to see. She is a woman, who is extremely intelligent, to the point of being terrifying, but that is also sensual, beautiful, and drop-dead gorgeous. She holds herself with such grace and poise that people tend to forget , just how intelligent she really is. After all she has seen and lived so much.
In public, she is always poised, professional and precise. When gathering information, she can sometimes startle people with her silence, and her ability to section of, or prioritize the things she needs to do. Always calm and cold, Niahm will sometimes spout out information to something asked hours, and even days ago.
In private, Niahm is passionate and not afraid to express said passion. Up for challenges of all kinds, she will surprise and stunned anyone that underestimates her. She is as enigmatic in her private life, as she is in her public.
Niahm is a woman who knows what she wants, who she wants and how to get it... She will use her intelligence to get what she wants, and sometimes not care who she steps on in the process.
Her cold and frightening intelligence makes her omit something that someone else could consider useful…because it would make her to lose advantages over the said matter.
Eyes:[/size] Her eyes are always changing colors. She can display blue, honey and violet color most often.
Hair:[/size] She is now sporting Dark hair, but she is known as Nhiam of the Golden or Bright hair. She can also be seen displaying red-hair like a flame.

How to describe her appearance? She has the striking beauty that she inherited from her mother the Queen of the Fairies and the strong, sensual and slender body of her sea ancestors from her father. Truth be told, she can look like anything she wants, as she is a master in disguises and illusions, but her true self, is a tall, sensual and aristocratic woman.
She can be dressed in anything and in any type of fabric. But the more remarkable thing is that whatever she is dressed in rags, or in her majestic white gowns, every article of clothing fits her like it was made purposely for her.

There are too many versions of one of the oldest myths and legends of Mankind and The Lady of The Lake belongs to it. Much of her past is hidden and is mysterious as the woman herself is enigmatic. And Niahm likes that fact.
She is the daughter of the God of Oceans, Manannán mac Lir and the Fairy Queen, Fand. She lives in her Sacred Island of Avalon, in-between the Planes of the Nine Kingdoms and Earth. She uses her fabled "Mists of Avalon" to protect and guide only those she deems worthy to reach Avalon. In fact the mists allow anyone with knowledge of that to travel between the Planes of Existence.
Many things were written and many things were distorted and disturbed about the Lady of the Lake, but Niahm cares none for it as humans and legends alike believe only in what they want. The true facts that matter in this history however is that she deemed Arthur Pendragon worthy of the sacred sword Excalibur and provided it to him. She is an ancestor of both Arthur and Morgana, which is one of the explanations, why Morgana is so powerful, she has after all Niamh blood running on her veins.
Actually, Niahm, only has become now active, because Morgana and the other evil sorceresses have disturbed the Great Balance. Niahm will only intervene directly if she is threatened or if the Balance is about to be shattered. Other then that she is tied to a sacred oath, that prevents her from directly intervene on the Nine Kingdoms, while on Earth she has more free will. She can and will help any one worthy, even if it is by indirect means.
Niahm has a small manor on Earth and she can be found there or in her Palace in Avalon. Powerful mystics are aware that she can be summoned through complicated rituals or magics. She is one of Merlin allies and councilors, as well other kings and queens of the Nine Kingdoms, though she appears to them on with different set of hair and eye colors.
