I am the shadow on the moonlit night Filling your dreams to the brim of fright! Winter had come and gone, and King Adam had decided it was time to convene with the other royals and noble within the Nine Kingdoms. After the First Great War, the former Beast didn’t particularly want to have another one, but it seemed inevitable. All of the Kingdoms had lost good soldiers and some good Legends had died, which while they didn’t truly die, they still died. The Eight Kingdoms couldn’t live in fear any longer – someone or a group would snap and that would create further problems for the Kingdoms. Adam sighed as he made his way to the stables. A carriage was not fitting for where he was going – the place had to remain a secret, not even his servants knew about this place.
Adam rode hard and fast. He had told Lumiere and the others that he was going out for a few hours. Belle would be there if they needed anything, anyway. She didn’t feel like coming. The King of the Fifth Kingdom had sent word to the other Kingdoms, bar the Third, for obvious reasons, to meet him at the council chambers in the Ninth Kingdom, for a council meeting. He didn’t want Morgana and her companions to ever be able to amass an army, again. Sometimes, Adam wished that he could shift from Adam to Beast at will. He missed the thick layer of fur he had – it kept him warm in the winter, somewhat, and he was sure Belle missed it too. However, he couldn’t think of the past – it wasn’t good. The future is what mattered.
Adam passed through the other Kingdoms: Sixth, Seventh, Eighth and then came into the Ninth Kingdom, which was his destination. He came to a bit of country with a pile of huge rocks. He patted his horse and slipped in between a crack and dashed down a flight of built-in earthen stairs. The council chamber was a round dome, under the ground. There was a table with food and drink appearing out of nowhere, as if there were invisible servants. The former Beast went to one of the numerous chairs around a round table, with a goblet of wine and food and waited for the others to come.

Winter had finally settled in the First Kingdom, covering the land in a soft white blanket of snow and frozen lakes. The people of the land had managed to make it through, a few bumps here and there with some of the crops. The Queen had been willing to give some of her own portions of the harvest to the people, hoping that it would help them through this portion of the year. Cinderella, who had been staring out one of the many windows in her castle, as she waited for notice of when her horse would be ready for her leave secretly. None of her guardsmen or advisers even knew of her leaving the kingdom nor the meeting that she was going to right now. It was going to be a long ride to Ninth Kingdom for the blonde haired woman, making her even wondering if it was really worth going. But she knew that Adam was going to need everyone at this meeting to talk about the First Great War.
"Your Majesty, your horse is ready for the journey. Would you like for me to accompany you to at least the Ninth Kingdom?" Her personal bodyguard asked her as he bowed in respect, making her smile gently at the man before walking over to him in her riding attire. "Thank you, Lionel. And to answer your question, yes I would like for you and only you to accompany me." She spoke lightly to the man before heading outside as she tugged on her riding gloves and hat. Ghost, her White Arabian horse, sorted at her as she approached him and all she could do was shake her head and pat his nose lightly before kissing it. "You ready, my friend?" She whispered before he nudged her to hop on. Lionel was already on his horse and ready for her, making her quickly mount her horse before making a clicking noise for Ghost to move out.
Cindy knew that she had to prepare herself for this gathering of the other royals and nobles. She wasn't sure though, what would be brought up and what changes could be made because of this. But she let out a deep sigh as she just passed through the third kingdom, quickly looked back at the guard behind her. He looked up at her and gave her little nod before a small smile appeared on his face. The Queen just blinked before turning around and continued to blink at why he would smile. Ghost snorted at her, causing her to drop the thought as they quickly passed through the fifth, sixth, and seventh kingdom. "Almost there, boy. Hold on." She whispered to her friend as she patted the side of his face before rubbing it lightly, encouraging him. Running through the eighth was hard for the blond haired queen as she wanted to stop to talk to her friend, Beau, but she knew that she didn't have the time. But she made a mental note to send a message to the other queen to arrange some type of meeting to catch up.
And just when Cindy was about to turn around, they arrive in the Ninth Kingdom and she was relieved. The meeting was taking place at the underground council room that only the royals and such knew about for important meetings. Lionel, just as promised, stopped right on the Kingdom's boarder and stood ready for her return back to the First Kingdom. Hazel eyes saw the clearing ahead and slowly pulled Ghost to a slow trot as she noticed that one other horse was already there. Raising an eyebrow, Ghost cautiously approached the horse before stopping all together, several feet from it. Cindy hoped down off of him before rubbing his neck and pulled out several apples for him to eat and regain his strength. She pulled off her hat as she slipped through the cracks of the pill of rocks and slowly entered until she saw a familiar face occupying one of the many chairs in the room. Smirking, Cindy pulled off her riding gloves before reaching the chair in front of the dark haired man. "Long time no see, Adam." Cinderella spoke teasingly towards the king before pulling out the seat and sitting as her hand reached out to grab a goblet of wine. Hopefully this meeting wouldn't take too long, she did feel like riding back in the dead of night with no protection.

Snow White sat peacefully upon her thrown. She was abruptly awoken from her daydream by the voice of a stable boy. "You horse is ready, my queen." Snow White nodded her head, and made her way to the stables. She walked slowly, with the boy accompanying her. "How old are you, child?" She curiously asked, turning her attention towards him. "Fourteen," he silently replied.
As the two entered the stables, they were greeted by the horses. The queen hastily got into the carriage, and was sent off by the staff. She couldn't help but admire the beauty of her wonderful kingdom. This is just what she needed, a get away from people. It was peaceful and immensely relaxing. It was not before they were in the seventh kingdom. She had enjoyed starring at the other kingdom's beauty. It ranged from tundras to deserts, all equally beautiful.
"We are in the ninth king, majesty." The horse master stated through the window. "Yes, take me to the meeting area." Snow instructed, turning her attention back to the countryside. The meeting was for all of the royals. The kings, the queens, the princes and princesses, for everyone who was known throughout a kingdom.
The queen had been anticipating this meeting for a long time. She had not seen the other royals in while, and she thought it would be nice to associate herself with them. She had not talked to any of her friends since she last had associated with the dwarves in the west wing of the palace. "We are here my queen," the man announced. "Finally, come open my door." She said calmly. The man did as was instructed.
The queen dressed formally for this meeting. She wore a long draping, white dress, with flowers sowed onto the exterior. Her hair was wrapped neatly into a bun. Her lips were ruby red, and her skin was pale, except for her rosie red cheeks. "Good luck, my majesty," the man said, climbing back on to the rider's seat.
"Hello my dear friends Cinderella and Adam," The queen kindly greeted.

Red pulled her hood down lower over her face to block the icy wind, carrying flurries of snow through the air. It wasn't her usual bright red hood she wore, but a dark brown, fur-lined cloak instead, both to keep her warm in the bitter cold of a Second Kingdom winter, and to avoid the notice that her signature hood would attract. She was on her way to a secret meeting, after all, it simply wouldn't do to have the whole bloody kingdom recognize her on the way there.
Her horse plodded through the snowy roads tenaciously, a heavy draft horse accustomed to pulling sleighs and wagons rather than carrying a lone rider, he was also accustomed to travel on the often icy roads that wound through the mountains to the castle. It wasn't a trip Red could make in haste, but she'd left in plenty of time to make it through the mountain pass, and by the time she was crossing the border into the Third Kingdom, she was able to pick up her pace considerably.
She kept her head down and her hand on her dagger during the short ride through to the fourth kingdom, eyes alert to any danger. Red didn't mind a good fight, but it would delay her, and she was already late. She breathed a sigh of relief as she crossed the border into the fourth kingdom, patting her large horse on the neck appreciatively as she let him slow. The rest of her ride was uneventful, and when she arrived at the clearing, she guessed at who had arrived before her judging by their mounts.
Descending the stairs, she pulled down her hood at last, shaking her dark curls out over her shoulders. Underneath her cloak, she wore a simple red tunic, cinched at the waist, with sturdy leather riding pants and high boots. Entering the room, she consciously straightened her back and held her chin up, the way she had learned to whenever she was in the presence of other royals. Even after all these years, she still had to remind herself to do it, she'd never have the easy grace of someone born to their throne. "Adam, Cinderella, Snow." She greeted them simply with a nod to each, her tone warm, before she took her seat. Her lack of cheer was understandable, given what they were here to discuss.

I am the shadow on the moonlit night Filling your dreams to the brim of fright! Adam was wining and dining when he heard the first of the other royals enter: Cinderella. He smiled in greeting. It indeed had been a long time. He couldn’t remember the last time he had seen Snow and some of the other royals. He made a point to visit them more often, if he could. After all, Cinderella was secretly his spy for the First Kingdom. She informed of the entire goings on in her Kingdom, which may have seemed weird but Adam wanted to know what was happening in all nine Kingdoms.
Before too long, a dear friend of Adam and Belle’s appeared: Snow White. She was another royal he hadn’t seen much of recently, and needed to see more. He was sure Belle would love to see Snow White at some point, too. Maybe they could have lunch together or something. A ball seemed too snobbish in this time when the Kingdoms needed to unite, and not just the royals – the people also needed to unite, if they were going to live through another war. Maybe he should bring up having a festival in one of the Kingdoms so the people could feel united. The handsome king took a sip from his goblet and smiled to Snow. He wondered how she was doing. Ever since she had found out about Charming’s infidelities, she had been somewhat cold-hearted.
Whilst Adam was lost in his thoughts, another friend of the former Beast’s arrived: Red Riding Hood. She didn’t seem cheerful, though that may have been due to what they were about to discuss; Adam gave a greeting smile anyway. The three Queens took to their seats. “I trust you all had safe journeys? Did you happen to see any of the others on your way here?”

& WE ARE THE KINGS AND QUEENS OF PROMISE ( we were the victims of ourselves ) After receiving word that a meeting was to be held in the secret council chambers in the ninth kingdom Beauty knew what and who it would be about. Immediately she showed the letter to her her Husband Phillip before she burned the letter so nobody else but the pair of them would know of the meeting. Beauty didn't want to be to one to tip off Morgana to their secret meetings as she could have spies anywhere could that woman. Beauty feared the wicked queen’s powers and just hoped there was a way to defeat her and stop her from causing harm to the other kingdoms. The previous ruler of the land Ole King Cole now resided in her own kingdom after being defeat by Morgana. She felt pity for the old King letting him and his citizens seek comfort with the citadel of the eighth kingdom.
Both Beauty and Phillip decided that it was best for them to leave separately. Beauty was to leave first and she would give Phillip a signal when she got to the border of their Kingdom so that he could too set off too. Wearing a thick hooded cloak to hide her face Beauty mounted her horse in the stable and set off for the boarder to the ninth kingdom. Her horse ran hard and fast so if wasn't long until the border was in sight. It was at the border of the two kingdom where Beauty would give her signal to Phillip in the form of a white dove as there was an old man who live there who kept the most beautiful birds. He had agreed to let them use one of his birds if they ever needed to send the other a signal to one another by tying a midnight blue ribbon around its neck and sending it to the castle.
Once again the old man kept to his promise and at her request released a dove to signal to Phillip she had safely reached the boarder. Now Beauty pushed onward again not stopping until she reached her destination of the secret council chambers. Its location was only known to the rulers of the lands excluding the third kingdom and a select number of nobles from each kingdom who lead some sort of faction and where trusted allies of the united rulers. If Morgana ever discover the location of this place it could be very bad for them indeed as then there would be nowhere for them to hide at all. Not that the council chambers where used for hiding anyway but it was an important stronghold for the rulers of the eight kingdoms that sided for good to be able to talk and discuss the evil that had befallen the third kingdom.
Reaching the secret place Beauty quickly glanced around to make sure nobody was about before she dismounted her horse who she tied up along with the others. She slipped through the entrance concealed in between the rocks not daring to take her hood down until she was full inside. From the grand council chamber she could already her voice's meaning people had already being to talk hopefully about nothing too important yet as it appeared not everyone was present yet. She smiled in greeting to the other rulers present as she made her way over to her designated seat at the table. "Phillip is on his way and will be with us shortly." she informed them before greeting ensued between various other members already present.

Bigby was helping solve a land dispute on the northern end of the 2nd Kingdom, when the time came for the meeting called by the other royals. He originally had been wary to do anything else today but prepare for the journey, though early this morning he changed his mind and followed through with the villager's request. It was important to appear like everything was business as usual, to keep suspicions low. Unfortunately, it did mean traveling separately from Red, but they had already discussed that it might be for the best. Especially considering who their neighbors were, it couldn't be obvious that both the king and queen were away, no matter how briefly. It weighed on him more and more every day how many people had to live in fear because of the 3rd Kingdom, but with any luck the results of today would begin to solve that problem.
When he left the town, he first started south, riding calmly and making it seem he was simply heading back to the castle. Once he was under the cover of the forest, though, Bigby urged his horse forward with as much speed as possible. In this case, all years of hiding in these lands worked to his advantage, as it made him rather good at finding paths that could make him travel relatively unseen. Admittedly, though, even he felt like he was holding his breath all the way through the 3rd kingdom until he finally passed into Snow's territory. After that, it was long but thankfully uneventful ride to the 9th kingdom, and he could only hope all the other royals had a similar trip.
Bigby had started to lose track of time, when in the distance he saw the large group of stone formations signaling that he was in the right place. As he got closer, he counted five other horses already waiting, including one he recognized as Red's. Some part of him felt instantly relieved. He may not always say it out loud, since he knew she was more than capable of taking care of herself, but he still couldn't help buy worry when she was alone, in particular on a long journey such as this. Bigby dismounted, giving his horse a pat on the neck as well as a handful of oats, the usual reward for a job well done. "We haven't made this trip in quite a while, have we old boy?" he commented thoughtfully, almost not sure if that was a completely good or bad thing.
Turning away, he slipped quietly through the small entrance and down the stairs, brushing the fur cloak of his shoulders now that he was out of the cold wind. He noticed the glow of several torches at the end, and the low murmur of voices. Despite the grave situation, Bigby gave a warm smile as he walked into the chambers. "Hello everyone," he greeted, giving a respectful nod. "I hope I have not missed anything important yet." It did not look as if he was the last one to arrive, but then again it was hard to tell how long everyone else had been here. His dark eyes quickly fell on Red as he took the seat next to her. "Glad to see you in one piece," he said, more quietly and half teasingly, as he gently place his hand on top of hers.

Representing the 7th Kingdom Prince Eric traveled to the location of the meeting, unprepared to be so far away from the ocean, which was a second home to him now. Ariel was in Atlantica, and he trusted his servants to keep his castle running smoothly, they always did on his long voyages to sea. This land got much colder than his own during the winter and Eric was unprepared for the bitterness of the icy winds, which cut straight through him.
Snow crunched underfoot as he got out of the carriage. He could see the other carriages, horses, and riders awaiting their respective Royals to return. He smiled politely at them all and continued forward, anxious to get away from the frosty gale.
All his life, Eric never expected to attend a meeting such as this. He never had to handle diplomacy between his kingdom and the others because he really only ruled over a township, but he was also representing Atlantica on this, too and their people welcomed him with open arms and fins. He was determined not to let anyone down. He knew that many of the rulers had traveled quite far to attend this meeting and wondered what the point of choosing this location was. Either way, he respected Adam and resigned to the fact that if Adam chose this place, it must be important.
Walking into the grand hall, Eric was taken slightly aback. Everyone seemed to know one another, but he had kept mostly to himself, preferring to stay within his castle, or on the open sea. He knew Adam by reputation, mostly, and Queen Belle most certainly lived up to her namesake, but the others, he couldn't place names to faces for the rest of them. He gave a polite hello and sat down at an empty seat.

in these dark times , - - - your the voice telling me everything is alright Even though Cornelius wasn't a ruler of one of the kingdoms he was still sent for upon great meeting being the named leader of the veil faeries who resided in the sixth kingdom. There was some meeting that he was invited to because the nature of them did not concern him or his people, but this one certainly did as I concerned a every kingdom. So kingdom would be represented as well as the leaders of the trusted factions from each of the kingdoms. In a way the Veil faeries where a faction in the sixth kingdom as they had their own royalty as Cornelius was living proof of that fact. But they still did abide by the rules set down by the ruler the fairy godmother who kindly gave them a home in her magical kingdom.
Though now times where hard and it seems as if the magic that fill the lands was slowly being tainted from the poison that was the third kingdom where the evil queen Morgana now ruled. Cornelius had no idea where she had been hiding before she took over the kingdom, but one thing he did know was that she was powerful. It was her power that scared the other kingdoms now as they knew she had been powerful before her down fall but now it seemed that she had come back even stronger and with even more allies on her side. And as the Prince of the Veil faeries it was his duty to make sure no harm came to his people.
So now he was journeying to the chambers upon his trusted stead Buzzby. While other royals had horses and carriages it was practical for him as a faeries so he travel instead by his trusty bumble bee. He would fly himself but the journey to the ninth kingdom was just too far for him to journey on his own flight. Plus he would have to flit about whilst at the meeting with him being so small so he would need some energy to do so once he got there. Plus Buzzby liked to get out and about on a good ride so this would be a good opportunity for his bumble bee to stretch his wings and have a good long flight with Cornelius.
And they did just that as they took off from the sixth kingdom and passed through the seventh and eighth kingdom until the entered into the ninth. An advantage of his height was that it was hard for somebody to spot him as most people who didn't know there was a faerie about would just assume it was some sort of bug fluttering around. Though when he reach the entrance to the chambers her dismounted and told his stead to go and rest somewhere close by and he would call him when he was ready to leave. It was easy for Cornelius to flutter in through the gaps in the rock and flit his was down into the council chambers where many of the royals had already gathered. Cornelius flew in and landed upon the table as if he did sit down as he would be seen at all then due to his small size and he liked o get his view heard. "Hey guys, I hope I haven't missed anything have I? He asked as he gently touched down on the centre of the table.

Belle looked over at Susan who happened to be the wardrobe she had first used when she had come to the enchanted castle. Susan was fusing over what she should wear today. Belle was perfectly find in watching the woman do what she did best. She pulled out a soft blue dress and pushed it to Belle. Belle smiled and headed off to the bathroom. It wasn't that the Queen needed help in dressing all of them knew that. It was just that Belle liked Susan's company. The older woman smiled as Belle came out of the bathroom. She gave her approval before disappearing out of the room leaving Belle alone with her own thoughts. Things were not going the way that she or Adam would like them to go. The Third Kingdom was going to head them to war again. She didn't want that she hadn't liked the first one to begin with. Sure she knew how to fight but she'd much rather not have to do so.
She tied her hair back and smiled at herself. This would do for the meeting that she had told her husband she had not been interested in going too. In a sense she had lied about that. It was just that when he had asked she had truly not wanted to go. However, as she thought more about it she had not seen many of the other Queens and her friends in a very long time and it would be nice to see them again. So she had decided probably a few hours after Adam had left that she was indeed going to go. She had told no one what she was doing as that was best. She had Susan pick out a dress for her as a guise that she wanted to surprise Adam for dinner. She never out right lied to anyone unless she had too, however, she wasn't about to give everything away either. She grabbed her cloak and headed out of the room and out of the castle. Iris and her brother were well watched out for so she was free to leave the castle grounds.
She headed for the stables had her horse ready and was gone before anyone really had the chance to ask her any question. She tended to be quick like that at times. She was still no match for Red when it came to sneaking around and not getting caught really. Belle was quiet though so sometimes people forgot she was around. She headed through the sixth Kingdom with a smile on her face and then wrapped herself up a bit against the cold as she made it through the eighth in record time. Soon enough she was slipping off her horse and into the chambers that was the meeting place for the nobles and royals. She came in and headed straight for Adam coming up next to him and laying a Kiss on his cheek before taking off her cloak and placing it where all the others were. "Hello Everyone." She said in a rather sweet voice.

It was cold as she looked out a window over her kingdom. She would have the letter in her hands, wondering if it would shock her or something. Meeting the other royals was a big deal, especially since it had to be fairly secret. Odette wanted to get her horse ready but Sig told her other wise. "Your grace." A man's voice would call from behind her. She would turn to see it was one of the head guards. "Your horse is ready and I was told to join you since his majesty will not be coming with us this trip."
Odette took in a deep breath and nodded. "Alright, lets depart then." So they walked out of the castle, her wool dress flowing in the cold breeze. Snow flakes would make their home in her blonde hair. Taking hold of the soldiers hand, he would help her up on her horse and then he would get on his own. Once she nodded her head, they took off into the snow. Her thoughts were on what they would talk about during the meeting. It was unnerving and what wouldn't she give to have Sig be with her on the first trip to the meeting. However there was business that he had to finish up and at least one of them had to go. Even if she argued that Eric would but Sig still shook his head. There a few royals who over see this Kingdom love and it's only right that most of them go.
The time seemed to fly by some what as they rode hard and fast throw the snow. The fresh snow would fly up into the air as the rode past. Thankfully, they soon made it into the ninth kingdom and would from there slowly make it the out skirts there. Odette saw the pile of rock on the side of the rode and the other horses, which met there were royals here already. She would pull up by the other horses and let her soldier help her down. "Thank you, come on inside and wait by the other guards."
They would walk in the crack of the rocks and down the steps. It was a little warmer inside as she pulled back the hood of her gown. With one last nod to her solider she would open the door to her meeting room. Closing the door behind her, she shook the snow out of her long hand and smiled at the other royals. "Hello everyone, hope you are all well." She would see that Eric was already there and would walk over to him. "Siegfried hopes to be joining us later on."

I am the shadow on the moonlit night Filling your dreams to the brim of fright! Adam watched as more of the royals and one noble arrived. He thought it was time to start the meeting now that several people arrived. The former Beast grinned a little when Belle arrived and planted a kiss on his cheek; he was glad his beloved lady wife had come – she had a calming effect on him when he was beginning to get irritated. He was pleased at the turnout; he didn’t think many would come. He knew Snow White would come, since they were neighbours but he hadn’t been sure on the others.
It was time to get this meeting underway.
“I thank you all for coming. I trust you told no one about this meeting?” He looked at some of the royals, who had brought guards with them. “The others will just have to get the short version of this meeting if they don’t grace us with their presence. Now, you all know why you are here; it’s due to those troublesome new Third Kingdom witch rulers. Adam was truthfully afraid of Morgana, Maleficent and Aella; they were frightfully powerful, as evidenced by the Eight Kingdoms’ defeat at their hands. That defeat had been hard on everyone.
Adam looked to everyone present, to let that information sink in. “We need to get rid of them; the rightful ruler, Old King Cole, has been overthrown and they are making our lives hell. Any ideas?” He looked to the others, hoping they’d have ideas because he didn’t have any. He gave his lady wife a quick sideways glance before gazing at the others again. He wondered how the old King was doing; maybe he should pay him a visit. He hadn’t seen him since before the take-over and he was worried about him. Tag: Royals and nobles Words: 293

With a grateful bow of her head, Cinderella gave her thanks to Adam as she took a sip from the wine before spacing out for a good portion of the time. Silence had always been on of her many allies in the past several years since the castle had always been a bit to large for her. But it has it's comforts for her, especially when it comes to spending her time walking around the vast grounds. But her thoughts were soon cut off when others acknowledged her and she returned the greeting right back. It had been indeed some time since she's seen some of these faces, making a mental note to visit some in the near future. And just as Queen Odette entered, Adam made a stand to start the meeting, causing her to shake her mind out of whatever state it was in right now. It was time for business, not spacing out and remember past memories.
As Adam spoke about the 3rd kingdom, Cindy felt chills run up her spine. The war was still a fresh wound for the Queen since she had lost several loyal members of her guard to their hands. She had vowed back then to make sure that they would restore power back to the Old King. A fist slowly began to form for the blonde haired woman before she looked over at Adam with a thought in mind. Something had to break the silence, someone had to give some sort of idea to the group presented today. "We gain loyalty with the witches with spies. It would help us gain trust within the kingdom while we slowly break down their forces without them knowing." Her voice rang out as she grabbed her wine glass once more, swishing around the liquid inside. Her hazel eyes looked around the room at the other royals, hoping to see someone else agree on the matter.
"It would take time though since we wouldn't want to give ourselves away. So we'd need to plan heavily for this..." Cindy added once more before taking a sip of her wine and relaxing once more into her chair. All eyes were on her and it made her gulp down dryly. It was just an idea, she didn't want to have all eyes on her at once. She thought it would just help people think of ways to contribute to Adam's hopes of liberating the 3rd Kingdom and restore peace back into the land. Maybe I should have just kept my mouth shut... she thought to herself as she looked down at the wooden table and sighed once more. Well now at least she contributed to this meeting and she could stay silent unless spoken to now. When she finally looked up to see the other guards of the other royals, she had wished Lionel was here to give her the courage again. But when her eyes found a familiar emerald pair directly in front of her, a small smile appeared on face.
"That's what I believe we should do. It's risky but it would give us enough time to gain some foot hold in their kingdom before fighting."

Red greeted the other royals and nobles as they arrived with a smile and a nod, only sipping her wine and leaving the food before her untouched. Years ago, when she first took her throne, being in a room like this would have terrified her, but the faces around her were familiar enough by now that her nerves were untouched by the somewhat intimidating congregation of the great and the powerful from all over the nine kingdoms. She was one of them now.
Her eyes lit up when she recognized the tall, dark and handsome figure of her husband entering the chamber, glad that they had both decided to come, although separately. She smiled, turning her head towards him slightly when he teased her. "Despite my best efforts to throw myself in harm's way," she sighed, teasing him right back, aware of how he worried and how pointless it was. It didn't seem to matter that he knew what she was capable of, her propensity to get herself into trouble always seemed to be more prominent in his mind. When Adam called the meeting to order, Red looked up towards him, listening to what he had to say about their situation. Admitting defeat once had been hard enough, she would hate to have to do so again, and if they were going to prevail, they'd have to take a good hard look at the mistakes they'd made last time. She looked towards Cinderella when she proposed they use spies; it would be a risky endeavor, particularly for those they sent in, but if ever there was a time for risks, this was it. "We lost before because we were overconfident. Eight kingdoms against one, we thought our numbers would be enough to win, but we didn't account for the witch's magic. It's not a mistake we can afford to make again. If we can incapacitate the witches before the battle, we should stand a chance." Even with their numbers depleted from the last war, without magic the witches would lose their greatest advantage. "A small strike team might be able to get past their defenses and catch them off guard. Cut the head off the snake, as it were." It would be even riskier than the spy plan, but if they were able to get spies on the inside, they could help with getting their assassins in unnoticed. They couldn't kill the witches permanently, but the time it would take them to regenerate could offer exactly the advantage the kingdoms needed to dislodge their power.[/blockquote]
