I am the shadow on the moonlit night Filling your dreams to the brim of fright! Winter had come and gone, and King Adam had decided it was time to convene with the other royals and noble within the Nine Kingdoms. After the First Great War, the former Beast didn’t particularly want to have another one, but it seemed inevitable. All of the Kingdoms had lost good soldiers and some good Legends had died, which while they didn’t truly die, they still died. The Eight Kingdoms couldn’t live in fear any longer – someone or a group would snap and that would create further problems for the Kingdoms. Adam sighed as he made his way to the stables. A carriage was not fitting for where he was going – the place had to remain a secret, not even his servants knew about this place.
Adam rode hard and fast. He had told Lumiere and the others that he was going out for a few hours. Belle would be there if they needed anything, anyway. She didn’t feel like coming. The King of the Fifth Kingdom had sent word to the other Kingdoms, bar the Third, for obvious reasons, to meet him at the council chambers in the Ninth Kingdom, for a council meeting. He didn’t want Morgana and her companions to ever be able to amass an army, again. Sometimes, Adam wished that he could shift from Adam to Beast at will. He missed the thick layer of fur he had – it kept him warm in the winter, somewhat, and he was sure Belle missed it too. However, he couldn’t think of the past – it wasn’t good. The future is what mattered.
Adam passed through the other Kingdoms: Sixth, Seventh, Eighth and then came into the Ninth Kingdom, which was his destination. He came to a bit of country with a pile of huge rocks. He patted his horse and slipped in between a crack and dashed down a flight of built-in earthen stairs. The council chamber was a round dome, under the ground. There was a table with food and drink appearing out of nowhere, as if there were invisible servants. The former Beast went to one of the numerous chairs around a round table, with a goblet of wine and food and waited for the others to come.

It was such a gorgeous day out. Rapunzel had noticed it that morning when she looked out her bedroom window. The sky was a beautiful clear blue and the twittering of nearby birds called to her. She couldn't just stay cooped up in her tower, or even the rest of her palace all day. Her nature wouldn't let her. So she set to brushing her fifteen feet of golden colored hair then she styled it in a series of twists and curls until it was set in an intricate bun on the back of her head, the ends of her hair left loose to they fell to the small of her back. She then curled it quickly then got into a nice lavender colored dress, nothing too fancy, she planned to go riding after all, but she made sure it was nice, she did have a meeting to attend in the afternoon. She stood in front of her mirror, her blue eyes glancing over her appearance. She placed her crown carefully on the top of her head and nodded in satisfaction. Yes she was ready.
She hurried out of her palace, informing her dear servants on the palace that she was going out on a ride for the morning, one that could very well turn into the day, excluding the part about the meeting. No one needed to know. She packed a bag with some snack foods after eating a quick breakfast then she mounted one of her horses and took off riding through her kingdom happily. She always loved exploring her kingdom, though over the years she had explored all of her kingdom and some portions of the other kingdom, avoiding the Third completely of course. She would never run the risk of seeing Gothel again. The woman was the last person she ever wanted to see. Her and the rest of the vile witches living in the Third Kingdom.
With those thoughts, she noticed the time and nickered at her horse, nudging her in the direction of the Council Chambers. It didn't take her long to get there, to be honest, hopping off her horse the moment she reached the crack in the rocked in a hidden area so the horses wouldn't be spotted. She saw another horse and smiled. So someone was already here then, she couldn't help but wonder who it was. She walked inside as she straightened her crown and brushed a curl back over her shoulder before she smoothed the skirts of her dress stepping carefully down the steps. She saw King Adam at one of the chairs the moment she got to the bottom of the stairs and she smiled, grabbing a bit of food as she passed then taking a seat near him. "Adam. It's nice to see you again," she greeted warmly. She only wished it were under better circumstances.

Snow had left her palace early that day, telling those under her command that she was going on a hunting trip for a couple of days, and wanted to be alone. Since she was their Queen, they didn't question, though more than a few of her guards had asked to accompany her. In the end, because she had the ultimate say, she went alone. Snow would have taken her most trusted guard with her, but after the incident with King Albert and the servant girl, she just didn't trust her subordinates anymore -- not even the ones that had risked their life for her one or more times. She knew she could get over it, she really did, but mending her broken heart, as well as her trust, was going to be hard.
When she reached the council chambers, Snow slid off of her horse, being careful to keep her hood on until she got inside. She didn't expect anyone to be around, but it was always good to stay safe. She knew exactly where the entrance to the council chambers was, though she didn't exactly like that fact -- royals and nobles only came here when there was trouble, and Snow didn't like trouble.
Snow descended the earthen stairs into the chamber hall, immediately taking note that there were only two others in the room -- King Adam, and Queen Rapunzel. That surprised her. She had figured that more of the royals and nobles would have arrived by now, especially the ones from the closer kingdoms. It was still early in the morning, though, so it shouldn't have been as big of a surprise as it was.
She grabbed a small plate of food and a goblet of water, then took a seat next to Adam and Rapunzel.
"Adam, Rapunzel, greetings." She smiled slightly at them, though one could say it didn't have the same joy that it would once have had. "I'm surprised nobody else has arrived yet."

Belle looked over at Susan who happened to be the wardrobe she had first used when she had come to the enchanted castle. Susan was fusing over what she should wear today. Belle was perfectly fine in watching the woman do what she did best. She pulled out a soft blue dress and pushed it to Belle. Belle smiled and headed off to the bathroom. It wasn't that the Queen needed help in dressing all of them knew that. It was just that Belle liked Susan's company. The older woman smiled as Belle came out of the bathroom. She gave her approval before disappearing out of the room leaving Belle alone with her own thoughts. Things were not going the way that she or Adam would like them to go. The Third Kingdom was going to head them to war again. She didn't want that she hadn't liked the first one to begin with. Sure she knew how to fight but she'd much rather not have to do so.
She tied her hair back and smiled at herself. This would do for the meeting that she had told her husband she had not been interested in going too. In a sense she had lied about that. It was just that when he had asked she had truly not wanted to go. However, as she thought more about it she had not seen many of the other Queens and her friends in a very long time and it would be nice to see them again. So she had decided probably a few hours after Adam had left that she was indeed going to go. She had told no one what she was doing as that was best. She had Susan pick out a dress for her as a guise that she wanted to surprise Adam for dinner. She never out right lied to anyone unless she had too, however, she wasn't about to give everything away either. She grabbed her cloak and headed out of the room and out of the castle. Iris and her brother were well watched out for so she was free to leave the castle grounds.
She headed for the stables had her horse ready and was gone before anyone really had the chance to ask her any question. She tended to be quick like that at times. She was still no match for Red when it came to sneaking around and not getting caught really. Belle was quiet though so sometimes people forgot she was around. She headed through the sixth Kingdom with a smile on her face and then wrapped herself up a bit against the cold as she made it through the eighth in record time. Soon enough she was slipping off her horse and into the chambers that was the meeting place for the nobles and royals. She came in and headed straight for Adam coming up next to him and laying a Kiss on his cheek before taking off her cloak and placing it where all the others were. "Hello Everyone." She said in a rather sweet voice.

Throwing he cloak over she shoulders she waited for the stable boys to be down with her horse. Sig stood behind her as she sat in on one of the window's ledges in the main hall. There was another meeting in the ninth kingdom that she had to go to. Another one that she would have to go without her king. She sighed at the thought and played with a strand of her blonde hair. Seeing that she would troubled, Sig reached out and gripped her shoulder. Odette shivered at his touch and looked up at him. "You really can't go?"
Sig shook his head. "I have to stay, look after things." Odette shook and bowed her head in the same motion. It just wasn't fair, the queens that come to the meetings would have their husbands with them. But not her, she who was still somewhat new to being a royal and a queen. She bit her lip, not liking the idea of going alone again but there was nothing that she could do. Frustrated she stood up and looked at Sig. She was about to speak her mind to him but he pulled her to him. In one motion she was in his strong arms and being kissed by him. With a sigh she melted and kissed him back. After a few moments he stopped the kissed and sighed also. "Be safe Odette. Come back to me in one piece."
She was about to say something when the front doors opened and the stable boy came in. He said that everything was ready for the ride. Odette looked at Sig with a frown and with one last kiss she let him go. The head of the guard was outside waiting for her next to their horses. With a exchange of nodes, the got on their horses and road off. The weather was much better now that winter was at it's tail end. there was hardly any snow on the ground as they road on the dirt paths to the ninth kingdom. It wasn't that fair of a journey.
Odette was glad that it took them at least two hours to get to the meeting place. The sooner that this could be done with, the sooner she could go home to Sig. Within a few more minuets her and her guard made it to the meeting place and got off their horses. With a nod from Odette they walked inside and once there she saw that they weren't the first ones who made it. Odette smiled. "Hello everyone."

I am the shadow on the moonlit night Filling your dreams to the brim of fright! Adam didn’t have to wait long for someone to arrive. First to come was Queen Rapunzel. He knew she would be the first to come; the council chambers were inside her own Kingdom, after all. Adam gave the Ninth Kingdom Queen a smile before sipping on his wine. Poor Rapunzel, King Thomas had gone missing, leaving Rapunzel to rule the Ninth Kingdom by herself. He stated that it was a pleasure to see her too before hearing someone else come downstairs: Queen Snow Whire. She was another female ruler, who’d been left to rule alone. Albert had seen fit to cheat on dear Snow, for reasons unknown to Adam.
“Greetings, Snow. It appears we are the only ones, yes, but I’m sure the others are on their way. They probably have to make sure their Kingdoms and estates are well-managed and looked after before coming here.”
Rapunzel and Snow sat near to the King of the Fifth Kingdom. There was a moment of brief silence before Adam smelled a familiar scent. So, his lady wife had decided to come, after all. He smiled when she pecked him and sat down next to him. He turned to her and asked, “Did you manage to get here ok?” He gently lay a hand on her stomach and smiled. He was going to have a kid, a child born from his loins; it was marvellous news.
Next came Queen Odette and some of her guards from the Seventh Kingdom. While Adam was glad to see the blonde Queen, he wasn’t happy that she had brought guards with her, since one or two could be spies for the witches and therefore could compromise their secret meeting place. He could understand why she wanted to have some but to have this many. Perhaps he should talk to her about it later on but wasn’t sure.
“Thank you all for coming. I’m not sure where the others are, so we shall wait a bit longer for them. In the meantime, feel free to chat amongst yourselves,” said Adam, who gave a smile to all the women there. No doubt Belle would like Snow and Odette the good news. Tag: Royals and noblesWords: 362

Once the greeting was done with Adam, Snow white walked in. She smiled, but Adam beat her to the greeting so she nodded at the other female and thought about Snow's husband's infidelity. That really was terrible for Snow, she was lucky Thomas hasn't left her like that. But now that not the time for such thoughts. "Hello Snow. How are you?" she asked kindly. Belle came in shortly and she nodded happily at her friend and let her go to her husband and share a quick moment with him before she sent a greeting out to her as well, she had seen her not to long before though, having been informed of the good news Belle had. Rapun was curious to see if Adam and Belle would tell everyone else about their news though.
The Queen of the Ninth Kingdom's thoughts were interrupted by another arrival though. She looked over at the voice of another queen and smiled. "Odette. I trust you had a safe journey? That goes for all of you, of course." She glanced around the room glad they had all made it to her kingdom in once piece. Hopefully the rest of the rulers would arrive shortly, in the came condition all the others had so far. At Adam's words of waiting bit longer she nodded and got up to get a goblet of wine to sip on while she waited then she sat back in her seat and grinned at her friends eager to hear any stories they might of had. She didn't have too much to talk about. A lot of her free time was spend worrying about her husband, or trying to distract herself from the fact he was gone again. So their conversations and storied could server as great things to distract her further.

She would smile and nod at each person in turn. The two guards that she brought with her stood against the wall. It was nice to see all of her friends still in one piece. A shiver would go throw her when she saw the look on Adams face. There was something in that look that was chilling, just a little. She looked over her shoulder at her guards, the ones that Sig wanted to protect her on her journey here. The blonde queen thought that maybe that was it, bringing so many guards. Though she didn't think two was that many...it was still a depressing sights. She shouldn't need guards to protect her she has her husband. But he's just to busy to come with her. The moments that lead to here flashed before her eyes. It was so heart felt what Sig didn't before she left the castle. Odette misses him being by her, it was hard doing these meetings on her own.
Odette would see that Rapunzel said hello to her and asked a question. She would shake her head mentally and smile. "Hello Rapunzel, I did thank you. I hope you did as well." Slowly she would work on taking a seat which would be a few chairs away from Adams.

The Queen of the Fifth Kingdom was actually rather tired. The journey had taken alot out of her as she sat next to her husband it showed a little bit she was sure. She got herself a cup of tea a moment later and then sat back down. She was so very happy that the others had gotten to the meeting safely. At least the ones that were here. She looked over at her husband as he looked at the guards that Odette had brought with her. A hand went to her husband's shoulder as she stood up and went behind him and whispered in his ear. "Sigfried is not with her. You would not expect him to send her without guards my love? Would you have let me come alone, if you knew you could not come?" She had come alone this time without his knowledge of her even wanting to come. She did not want Odette to feel as if she had done something wrong. She knew Odette was not used to these things and she herself would be just like Odette if Adam was not with her at a meeting such as this. She looked up after a moment and looked at the others.
She sat back down in her seat next to Adam and greeted Snow and Rapunzel and Odette of course after they greeted her. She turned back to Adam a moment later. "I must admit my love I'm a bit tired but everything went well on the ride here." She was not showing all that much yet but she looked a bit more pale then usual and she had not exactly had the best of mornings with morning sickness and all. A busy day and this meeting were likely going to make things even worse on her mind but she wanted to be by Adam's sides. She would not leave even if he asked her too. She was stubborn after all. "How has everyone been lately?" She tried her attempt at making small talk. There were other things on her mind. Worry being the main thing.

Red Riding Hood knew that she would be late for the council meeting before she even steps out of the castle. Being a queen certainly isn't just about all that glories and the beautiful gowns and the crown, sitting on your throne being serves by others, having breakfast in bed and looking pretty in public to be a show. Sometimes Red wished that is just the case too, which human doesn't like to be pampered and taken care of? Making lovely dresses every other day and having massages and spa and pedicure manicure? Yeah, that sound heavenly, but life is not as extravagant as it is in her pretty dreams, it is pretty shitty as of current actually.
Since the Third Kingdom was invaded, beaten and taken over, fear started to sip back into their residents' hearts, it seems like just not so long ago that her kingdom fell back into peace and quiet, lives started to get better, people finally found rooms to breathe again. This is a tragic that strikes, good men were lost in the battlefield, the Nine Kingdoms had live in peace for so long and suddenly found themselves landed in the mist of chaos.
The council meeting was held in the Ninth Kingdom to discuss a solution to prevent future war, which however much Red Riding Hood hopes would never occur, she couldn't deny that chances are very high for it does indeed.
Having Third Kingdom just beside hers put them into bigger risk than the rest, Queen Red was worry, for the brave men who never hesitate to join the army once they heard they are in danger, for the children who were still clutching onto their stuff toys waiting up for daddy to come home, for the women who know their husbands might not make it home; she was concern, for however well-prepared and good as the Red Cloaks are, however amazing they appeared to be at taking care of themselves and each others, they are still young, and youth could make mistakes. It's not that she has absolutely no confident in them, but like a mother she cares for them, Red Riding Hood certainly doesn't want them to face any harm.
She was just giving the older few some instructions on training later, Red Riding Hood let them on their own at times, she can't absolutely supervise every single training everyday, but she does check on these kids daily. Not if she is to make this trip though, she wasn't sure how long the council meeting would take and how long would she stays in the Ninth Kingdom, "Make sure that they get into bed by 10, you might've to tell them stories and tuck them in," the lady told Hensel and Gretel as she secured the knot by her neck, the familiar weight of the bright red cloak settled onto her comfortably, "Both of you gotta help looking after the younger ones, you guys are big brother and sister now."
With that, and a pet on both their shoulders, Queen Red Riding Hood leaned forward to give her husband a kiss on the lips, lightly, "Keep them safe for me," she pulled up a brave smile, one that lit up her face beautifully; Red Riding Hood has always up for a good adventure. After the quick goodbye she never linger, but mounted her Chestnut brown horse Chelsea and headed off into the wild. Red hated goodbyes so she never says it.
The journey from the Second Kingdom to the Ninth was long, but not unbearable. She was being more caution and quickly ride past Third Kingdom through the forest. Luck Lady was on her side, she never even need to use her bow and arrows apart from shooting wildlife for food, cooking was tricky though and could only be done in the evening when twilight could cover the visibility of the fire she built and smoke which rises from it. It took some effort to get back on nocturnal schedule again, but her body adjusted.
And finally, she made it.
Red could feel the soreness on various part as she jumped down from her horse, already noted that other kings and queens were already in the castle, she hurried up the stairs heading towards the council meeting room under the guidance of the servants. "Thank you," she mumbled under her breath towards the doorman, even after so long Queen Red has never gain arrogance along with the change of her status.
"Greetings, my dearest kings and queens," she said right after she stepped into the room, bowing to every royalty on presence, "My deepest apologies for keeping everyone waiting, there was some last minute business." Dark eyes scanning everyone in the room, she nodded to everyone of them, face relaxed spreading into a smile, "I believe everyone are well? It has been a while..." In graceful steps Red Riding Hood approached the royals, hands claps behind her she stood tall and confident.
