It’s hard to say that I’d rather stay awake when I’m awake Because my dreams are bursting at the seams Kai sat on his bed, reading the Grimms fairy tale book he had gone recently. He found the fairytales so fascinating; the Brothers Grimm really knew what they were doing. They were excellent storytellers in Kai’s opinion. Hungry, Kai went downstairs and got himself a bowl of couscous and vegetables. No one was at home; which meant he had the place to himself. The mute went to the living room and turned the TV on and put on a documentary about polar bears. Polar bears are interesting creatures, able to able to eat what they must to starve when there is no snow.
When the documentary was over, it was mid-afternoon. Kai decided to go out, leaving his family a note. He had his house keys and mobile phone about his person if they needed him. He went to a local café and ate a blueberry muffin and had a tea. After that, he walked around for a bit before having an idea. He should do a Shuujuku meeting, and what better time than now. He hoped the others wouldn’t mind and that they weren’t busy. It’s just the group hadn’t actually come together as a group at all, and they needed to be able to trust and rely on each other if these Order members were trying to hunt them down.
With this in mind, Kai went to Bridgeport and then to the Shuujuku base, all the while making sure he wasn’t being followed. Once there, Kai changed into his Shuujuku garb using magic and then went to one of higher floors and sat cross-legged, preparing himself to call to his fellow Shuujuku members.
Hello, friends! Hope I’m not disturbing you. If it’s not too much trouble, could you come to the base now, please? We need a group meeting, since we haven’t had one at all. I also want to discuss the prospect of training.
Once he had made the summons, he waited.

It hadn't been a particularly eventful Saturday for Ryan. He had woken up early, per usual, and had drank a cup of coffee and eaten breakfast all before the rest of his family got up. Almost as soon as he had finished, his little sister had walked into the kitchen, yawning and rubbing the sleep out of her eyes, and he had prepared a bowl of cereal for her. His mother was up not too long after that, but by that time, Ryan was already packing a small backpack, ready to start the day. He told his mother where he was going, and then kissed both her and his younger sister goodbye, before leaving for the hospital.
Ryan volunteered often at the children's hospital in the city. Since he liked kids, he enjoyed interacting with them, reading to them and playing with them and things like that. Plus, it would look great on a college resume, but that was just an added bonus. He would have enjoyed helping the kids with or without the added bonus; he had always enjoyed helping others.
By the time Ryan was finished, he went to a small cafe near the hospital and bought a sandwich and tea, and was thinking about making his way home when he heard someone speak in his mind. Not just someone, but Kai. Kai Starshine. It still freaked Ryan out a bit that the Shuujuku members could speak to each other through telepathy, so he was a bit startled when he first heard Kai's voice, but calmed down not too long afterwards. He was slowly getting used to it.
Hey, it's Ryan. I can be there, Ryan answered, almost immediately. He had nothing else to do, anyway, and he liked being busy on Saturdays. It'll take me a few minutes, but I'll be there soon. And with that, he threw away the trash from his lunch and began making his way towards his car.

The painting, if Marco was being completely honest with himself: looked like he'd just taken a blender to the surface of it. Vague suggestions of shapes and ideas taking the form of splattered, blending and smeared colors on thes surface of the canvas. But he was never really honest with himself. Gustav was though. 'No offense cher. But that thing looks like a oil paint scramble. Seriously.' The madman pointedly ignored the voice, silently glad that Lita wasn't commenting as well. His Heterochromic eyes flicked over it, idly changing the lighting on one side with a pale blue paint soaked finger. There. It was- Marco jolted, squeaking in alarm at the voice that suddenly flooded his mind. Meeting right. Meeting.
The half legend scowled slightly, eying the visible damage to the painting. And almost unconsciously sent the image as his only response, the first showing perfect as it had been. And then with a air of accusation added the damage. Pointedly, and wordlessly scolding Kai for disturbing him at that moment. Marco rose fluidly, walking away from the irreparable canvas with little regard now that he'd said his piece. His black and blond hair was flecked with paint and his clothes were beyond the point of no return. The floor of the abandoned building still gave poofs of fine dust with his every step while he made his way towards the cleaner bedroom. Two minutes and he was back in one of his typical outfits. But he wasn't even going to bother with the paint in his hair and under his nails.
Of course the way he dressed was deceptive compared to the way he lived. The money he made with his painting and other odd jobs wasn't something he even bothered to put into his home. He liked that place. Secrets and surprises around every corner, none of that smell like modern air fresheners that had always bothered him. His senses were always on high. It made it hard to handle in this world. Where everything moved in fast forward and smells, sounds and tastes were explosive everywhere he turned. 'Your breathing to hard ace. Not in public. Calm down.' He didn't need that tiny, aware part of his brain to tell him how wrong it was that the voices were telling him how to keep an appearance of sanity. He knew what the voices meant to these people.
Marco lengthened his stride, sunglasses that he had pushed away from his eyes preventing the blonde and black locks from getting in his way. And the dual colored eyes were more coherent than normal. Sharper. That encounter with Daniel had changed things for him a bit. Half the voices stayed quieter now. Almost as if they were scared that the icy calm and edging panic would come back if they pushed. The madman shook his head briefly, as if trying to physically dislodge the thoughts while he reached the block of the base. He'd always been glad of being in walking distance of it. "Wweee arre hherre!" The quote from A Wrinkle In Time was made all the more effective as both Gustav and Lita joined in on it.

Kitten was sitting at the Brooklyn docks letting the sun dry her off. She's been playing in the water with a ball that she had gotten a few hours ago. She picked on the ball and made it bounce down the dock and then ran after it a moment later. She had been doing this for the last few minuets. She had another bouncy ball in her bag. She jumped nearly sky high and fell in the water again when she heard Kai's voice in her head. She let out a sigh as she got herself back on the dock. She shook herself off. She really needed to stop falling in the water.I'll be there in a little bit. She sent out her thoughts to Kai about getting to the meeting. She walked towards an abandoned building that had been there forever and changed out of her suit and into her clothes placing one ball in her bag and taking out the smaller one. She took to tossing that one in the air as she walked.
It took her awhile to actually get to the base because at some point the hairs on the back of her neck started to raise and she looked around finding the person that was causing the cat in her to pick up its head too. It took her some time to actually lose the guy and appear in front of the base very sure that no one had seen what happened when she had found herself scared and through a roof access door hiding from the person who had been doing anything. She heard Marco's voice first and nearly pounced gently on him with the evident tension in herself. She was a little scared still and she was in kitten form anyways.A form that Marco had already seen. She purred softly but didn't switch back into her human form. She would do that eventually.
She looked around wondering where Kai was exactly. It took her only a moment to find his presence at least.

Daniel had been up long enough to do his morning chores, and he was currently in the middle of practicing some spells that he wasn’t sure that he was capable of doing. At the present, there was a bowl of water in front of him that his eyes were fixated on, and after a few moments an orb of water rose up from the bowl. A second later, another orb rose up from the bowl, and after a few minutes the bowl was empty and there were five evenly sized orbs floating around him. ”Now comes the hard part,” he muttered.
What he was attempting was to change the water’s state, which wasn’t an easy feat as it took a lot of energy. Of course, Daniel was increasing the level of difficult by attempting it on five orbs instead of one, but he did like to challenge himself. As he pictured what he wanted his magic to do, the young man could see that the orbs were beginning to freeze, but then his concentration was broken by the sound of Kai’s voice in his head which led to the five orbs landing on the ground with a great big splash .
I’ll be there, but this had better be important. I was right in the middle of something, he sent back as he got up from the floor. Quickly mopping up the mess, Daniel exited his house and started walking toward where the group’s base was located, and he really did hope that this wasn’t some sort of random meeting be called for no reason. Daniel considered time to be a valuable thing that should be wasted for any reason. He pulled the hood of his coat down so that his face was obscured by any that were looking at him, which wasn’t really necessary at the moment but he did it anyway just because he could.
As he rounded a corner, the young man noted that he was one block away from where the base was located. It was around this point that Daniel got a feeling that it was going to be one of those interesting days. "Let's just hope it isn't too interesting."

my mouth is frozen so i can't even speak i'm not the type to say sorry constantly It had been a really long day for Valoria. The minutes seemed to stretch by like hours as she watched people walk by the cafe without a single glance. Today had been a relatively slow day ever since the morning rush had died down. She'd gotten the odd costumer come in and stay for a little while but the shift had been pretty boring thus far. Her co-workers didn't exactly know her well enough to joke around with her like they did to the others, so she just stuck around the cash register till she was set free for the day.
The first thing she did was go home and try to catch some sleep, but that didn't work. She could the circles underneath her eyes and she knew she needed sleep, but her body simply wouldn't let her. She vented to Jacobin, who didn't really feel like listening to her rantings for long and got distracted by the birds out of her window, much to her frustration. "You're so rude.", she whined but he just flicked his tail at her. So she joined him at the window and stared at the world outside. She debated about going on a run, but her last run had been at three in the morning and her legs probably wouldn't be too happy with her afterwards. There were always computer games... or she could do something productive like train, meditate, or read--
Her train of thought was interrupted by the sudden summons made by Kai.. and it freaked her out. Sure, he'd told her that he could do that stuff but... still. It was different to hear it for the first time.
'Oh! Uh... I'll be there in a tiny bit!' came the slightly distressed reply. Okay. Okay. You can totally handle this, Val. It's only a meeting with the other people who are supposed to be your team mates. You've never met them before, but everything will be okay. She had to reassure herself before she stepped away from the window. Jacobin watched her with those lazy eyes of his as if to say 'stop being such a wimp and get out of here already.'
So that's what she did. She grabbed a bag that sat by the door that contained her cloak. "Sorry, feet." she mumbled quietly before taking off at a good pace towards the Shuujuku base and made it there in relatively good time.
i try but i've gotten nothing nice word count: 473 music: peace sign -- lights notes: i'm sorry it took so horribly long!!! D: tagged: Shuujuku!~

It’s hard to say that I’d rather stay awake when I’m awake Because my dreams are bursting at the seams Kai received some chastising from Daniel and Marco, which he sent wordless apologies to. He hadn’t meant to disturb them, and truth be told, he hadn’t known what they were doing so he could hardly be at fault. Still, he was sorry for disturbing those two. The mute youth sighed silently as he received messages from Ryan, Kitten and Valoria that they would be there soon; at least they weren’t being rude. Kai was rather proud of himself; he had been practising with his telepathy a little bit recently and had improved it somewhat, which was good. He’d need his telepathy if Shuujuku were going to fight the Order, which was why he had called for the meeting so they could discuss training. They hadn’t done any as a group, which was slightly worrying. He had managed to gain some members for this group but he was worried that there were some more people like them out there out there in the world, and they were in danger as much as Shuujuku were.
He sensed their presences as they came nearby. Marco came first with two of his voices chiming in. Kai had to mentally chuckle at that. Next came Kitten. He greeted both with a friendly telepathic hello. He was glad the group had become somewhat used to his telepathy. He still felt a little embarrassed and sad that he had become mute at times, which caused the seventeen-year-old to have bouts of depression at times. Daniel came soon after, followed by Valoria. Good, most of the group were here. Ryan was on his way….but he hadn’t heard from Coraline. He hoped she was ok.
Kai came down from where he was and greeted his group with a smile.
“Hey, everyone. Thank you for coming on such short notice; I apologise to those who were busy – I didn’t realise. I’ll try to be more discreet about my messaging in the future. Hey, did anyone see Ryan on their way here? Also, has anyone seen or heard from my sister? I’m worried about her.”
Kai knew she could handle herself but he worried about her sometimes, especially now with the Order coming after them. The dirty-blonde youth sent his twin a telepathic message of concern; asking where she was and if she was alright. Once that was done, he motioned for the others to sit down while they waited.
